I have a blue bar. My girlfirend doesn't. She's jealous.

When an attachment comes in with an email (Eudora,) NOD pulls up the little blue bar, and I can watch the bar filling up as NOD scans the attachment. My girlfriend is using the trial version of NOD, and she has no blue bar, and is giving me a hard time.

Is the bar missing because she has the trial version?

Hi Harassed in Ontario, what you are seeing is dependant upon the size of the attachment arriving at your inbox, too small and it won't be seen

It can also be dependent upon your ISP's connection speed. Does she have a faster download speed then you?

That's interesting! Yes, her speed is several times faster than mine. Are you implying that the blue bar might not have time to get going on her faster download system?

Yes, that is correct. I have a 3MB download speed on my cable connection and I very seldom see the NOD download bar. But if I change to a much slower dialup connection I will see the download bar a lot more frequently.
