This forum is great! (But a bit hard to find)

I have been reading posts at this great forum for a while, but I just registered. NOD32 can be a bit complicated sometimes, but I have found many useful posts here. I found this place using Google. However, when looking for a NOD32 forum I didn't find any links to this place from the eset web site or the program itself. I guess they are just well hidden, which is a shame, since this forum should be very useful to new as well as more experienced users.

 

Have you seen the Extra Settings for Nod32 thread? This should get you a little more comfortable wandering through Nod32’s settings.

Funny you should say so, I have been discussing this with Eset for a while, and just brought it up again this week. It is such a useful site with vast amounts of knowledge for Nod32 users, it ought to be more prominent.

Yes Blackspear I have seen your post with all those extra settings. Are there any disadvantages using those settings? I guess there must be some otherwise they would be the default settings. Do they slow down your computer? Is there a risk for false positives?

 

I use them for a month and no problem at all.

 

Why don't ESET guys add this forum link to their webpage under support section? I mean this forum is officially lead and supported by ESET staff,so there is no problem by doing that.

As far as I and my customers are concerned, no, not at all.

Most setting have been implemented in the new Beta, which will go to final release shortly.

When making a complete scan of your system you will see the scan take a little while longer, however to actually slowing the computer down, no, not at all.

An extremely minor one, and I do mean extremely minor, of which I am yet to see it do so. This is why as an added safety precaution you should always tick quarantine; this would enable you to restore a file should it be necessary to do so later on.

A Google for either 'NOD32 forum' or 'ESET forum' puts us at the top of the list....

Well I always prefer the AU type of English than the UK or the US type, so I prefer the AU website of NOD32. And the AU website does have a link to the forums right?
