Does Nod32 Pop3 scanner leave port 110 open? I ran a port scan and it indicated that all my ports are stealthed except for port 110 (POP3).

I am running NOD32 with POP3 scanner and Windows XP. I am also running Sygate Personal Firewall.

    Thanks for any help.

The pop3 scanner listens on the port you specified (10,5xx) and redirects to 110 when mail is received.
    Parhaps this will help: http://pages.infinit.net/carbo1/nod32emailersetup.html

I guess I am still somewhat confused.

Is there any harm in having port 110 open? Should I configure my firewall in any particular way?

    Thanks

Set a rule to allow POP3Scan outbound connection only to your mail server. That will cause an implicit block to all others.
