The Caterpillar 797B dump truck is currently the largest in the world. Used primarily in open pit mining, the 797B has a load capacity of 380 tonnes. It is powered by a 117.1 Litre turbocharged diesel engine making 3,550 horsepower. The 797B is 21.5 feet tall, 28 feet wide and 47.7 feet long. It has an empty operating weight of approximately 278 tonnes.

Each tire is thirteen feet tall and weigh four tonnes each. They need to be replaced after approximately 35,000 miles; at a cost of $25,000.00 a piece.

    Dr Pepper

A unique blend of fruit flavours, Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink in the US and the number one in its category with a 92 per cent share of the entire 'pepper' soft drink sector. Dr Pepper was first made and sold in 1885 in Waco, Texas. The formula, a closely guarded secret, was invented by Charles Alderton, a young pharmacist working for Morrison's drug store.

Bought by Cadbury Schweppes in 1995, Dr Pepper is our biggest soft drink brand and is the principal brand of our US subsidiary, Dr Pepper/Seven Up.

    How Dr Pepper came about

The origin of Dr Pepper, like its flavour, is out of the ordinary. 1n 1885 Charles Alderton a young pharmacist was working at Morrison's drug store in Waco, Texas, where he also served carbonated soft drinks at the soda fountain. Noting that customers soon tired of drinking the same old drinks, he decided to make some new ones by blending together several different flavours. After numerous experiments, Dr. Pepper was born.

When store owner Wade Morrison expressed his approval of the new drink, it was tried on the customers who quickly spread the word to other patrons. Dr Pepper soon gained such widespread popularity that other soda fountain operators in Waco began buying the syrup from Morrison and serving it. This presented a problem for Alderton and Morrison as they could no longer produce enough at their fountain to supply the demand. Robert Lazenby, a young beverage chemist, also tasted the new drink and was impressed. Alderton, primarily interested in pharmacy work suggested that Morrison and Lazenby develop it further. Impressed with the product's growth they formed the Artesian Mfg & Bottling Company, which later became the Dr Pepper company.

Today Dr Pepper is the top non-cola trademark brand in the US, and Diet Dr Pepper the leading diet non-cola drink.
