i'm assuming i probably want this checked in tools "Resident Tea Timer" I've had this program for a while and i've noticed just now that this option has never been checked.Do I want to leave this checked now?i also noticed a new icon in the system tray that was'nt there before. its kinda cool it looks like a page with a lock on it

also under i.E. ooption>tools>General> view objects>is theTemporary Internet Downloaded Program Files . the list here apears to be the Active X files from SpyBot S&D it shows there installed -----do i still need them listed here in the in this temporary file or may i delete them from here I'm trying to clean house on all temorary files stored here .Also there is some icons in there mostly Favicon is anyone familiar with this ?it would'nt let me delete it until I clicked on it and my security picked it up saying the security did'nt match something so it would'nt alow it to be opened. and until i acually tried to open it I could'nt delete it but now i have but it did'nt look good.

    Thank you

    Hi jrcotts. :)

That is a Spybot S&D option. This is the SpywareBlaster and Other forum.

I will move this thread to the appropriate place. ;)

    Hi jrcotts. :)

You most probably want to leave Tea-Timer checked. It runs in the background and monitors changes to system and registry settings, alerting you about potentially harmful ones and asking you whether you want to allow them or not. More info about Tea-Timer HERE (just an indicative link - there's a lot more info on the subject in the official Spybot S&D forums).

As for the Downloaded Pogram Files, you can find out more about them by right-clicking the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and then Properties --> General --> Settings --> View objects, right-clicking each item listed there and taking a look at its properties. Those related to Windows Update and/or online virus scanners can be safely left alone. If you delete any files related to specific web content (i.e. Flash animations etc.) you will need to download them again to view this type of content in the future.

About Favicon, I don't know if this is the case you describe but you can have a look HERE for some hopefully enlightening info.

    Best,
    BS :)

Just curious...is it a good idea to have the Tea Timer active if running MS Anti-Spyware running in resident?
