Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

I didn't put them in quite the right place, so that should be solved! :D The next thing was wondering where my pictures went when I was trying to work on them? I forgot they are supposed to go to the clipboard, right? Except I have the Windows clipboard turned off, so guess I have to turn it back on? Hmmmm..one of those calling home things is why I had it turned off, well, that sure would make it alot easier!! LOL! I couldn't figure out where they and WHAT were they doing? Cause they sure weren't coming back the way I had planned! :D

I have been doing alot of reading today, trying to get the basics in my brain, so hopefully that will work out.

I get confused on something of things they tell you to use, I was trying to make one layer transparent and the other the background and couldn't figure out any of that yet!

I ended up going to Paint and just copy and pasted it, There is soo many options, I am sure once I figure it out I will love it! Now, it's bewildering and frustrating! :D

So, you all are doing well on the logos, too! Brad, that ani looks good! Wanted to make a major motion picture right away, huh? Know the feeling! :)

Cheers, and glad everyone had a nice day!

Well, I didn't give you a clue what I was talking about, huh? LOL! Sorry, Uguel! I am talking about the frames, tubes and something called filters, not sure where they go?

The last two days have been immersed in "gobbledy gook" as far as understanding the language of PSP. Alot of words I have no clue what they are talking about, I feel dumber by the minute! I know it will click one day- soon, I hope!:D

I don't quite understand what you mean by the clipboard. o_O
The way I do it is very simple...After I finished downloading
the frames, I unzip them on my desktop, open the folder,
and then I copy and paste each of the frame into my PSP frames folder.
    See screenshot ;)
    or....
There is another way of doing it, which is faster....
I select about 5 folders at a time, double click on each
of them and then I open and drag it into my frames folders
    one at a time.

*shut your Paint Shop Program while doing so...
then after you finished pasting your frames,
open your PSP program and they will be there.

Also, always make sure the frames you download
match with the PSP 9 version. Version 8 frames
work fine with Paint Shop 9 too. ;)

I was trying to paste these two dolls on the same page to post them? It said to send them to the Windows clipboard, anyway, I never did do it that way, I ended up using the plain ole Paint!

I keep seeing you and reading about closing down PSP to work on your projects, what happens if you don't close it down?

Too many questions and not enough time! :D

Thanks Brad, I wasn't sure where you meant you kept you files at first!

Oh yeah! Where do you put sparkles, glitter and stuff like that? Which file? Will it mess everything up if I don't put it in the right files?

Whoa! That's enough with the questions! I will let you guys get on with the fun!:D

    Thanks!

Very nice ani Bigbuck ! :)
Sorry, I did not know that you were posting a screenshot too!

So you do the same with your tubes....

But what about if they don't have a .tub extension?
and come as .psp file? o_O

Then you will have to convert your tube into
    a .psp file. ;)

How to convert a .psp file into a tube

    1. Open your tube in PSP.
    2. Click on FILE, EXPORT, PICTURE TUBE.
    3. When the window opens, be sure to enter your CELLS ACROSS AND CELLS DOWN. So if your tube has 1 items across and 1 rows down, then enter 1 Cells Across and 1 Cells Down. I usually have the step set to 200 by default and the scale to 100.

    4. Name your tube and save.

    See screenshot below...

HOW DO I USE MY NEW TUBES? o_O

You open a new image in PSP and then click on the picture tube icon which looks like a paintbrush with an inkwell next to the eraser tool. If you hold your mouse arrow over the icons for a second they will tell you what they are, by a little pop up window. When you click it, it loads your picture tubes and then you can scroll through, pick one and play! :)

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

    Thanks Brad!
And did you know that any picture that you take can be
save as a tube once you erased the background and export
it as a tube just the way I did for the woodpecker?

For instance you can take a picture of Sophie, clear
the background and then save it as a tube.
    Pretty neat, eh? :D

Now what do you do if you have several images in a tube?
Like the fish I got here..... o_O

    see screenshot...

As you can see, there are 2 cells across and 3 cells down....

I will export them this way... ;)

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Thanks again!....I haven't been using the tubes much because I can't see how to resize them?? For example, sometimes I go to add a tube to a smallish pic....and the tube is bigger than the pic!!! And sometimes the tubes are tiny on a big pic!!! It's got me confused?

    Wow nice picture!
Okay here is the way I open and set the picture tube.

    1. you click on the fat pen on your left to open the tube folder.
    2. You choose your tube and you set the size in the li'l scale
    mode window.
    3. I set the size to 25, 50 and finally 100.
I can increase the size to 250 maximum! :)
