I wrote a text and while the marching ants were still active,
I applied the settings that were in the previous post
and I got this result! ;)

...Oh! where you see "flou" in French, it will be "blur" in English. :)

    you said:
I took your advice and used the drop shadow effect, though not with PSP as i couldn't find it in my V7 ? and i DO really like the contrasting purple as you suggested ! I did use the drop shadow effect in some of my other designs in the Logo thread before, and on a few more than once on the same pics, it's an interesting EFX.

I was wondering if you could apply a drop shadow around your letters.
Sorry, I did not mean the border or the frame although it does look good
that way too ;) ...but I was meaning the letters just like I did in my
    example...

...I was thinking that your ocre letters could look great with a purple drop
shadow or even a black one? The advantage of the drop shadow is that
it makes the letter come out more....But after I looked properly at your logo
again I saw that there was already some black at the bottom...so in that
area the purple drop shadow won't show much. So in this case, I thought
it might be worth trying to put a little black around the letters like
I did it in the purple framed one. Tell me what you think.... :)

Also, when I applied the drop shadow effect,
(see post 441) both foreground and background
    colours were the same.

    Uguel,

Thanks for the word I was looking for! Caricature, right? :)

Will have to do the pictures tomorrow or next day, too blurry from doing the reading for Time thread!

BBuck, your sense of humour and the absurd really comes out in your pictures! LOL! I love the polar bear picture too, Eldar! I had to laugh at the soccer players on the pool table, didn't your mother ever tell you not to kick the ball iin the house! :D In our case, it was don't throw the ball or my washing machine is not a basketball hoop or...you get the idea! You captured it great!

I like all the pictures, the first one, Brad, I thought it was more than one person at first, but it is just the one, right? How did you do that?

Time to go, lots to think about tonite! Thanks, all!!

    Spanner,

You are coming right along, huh? Tell me, are you having dreams about this logo?!? LOL! I can see you are putting in the hours, so I think I would be having dreams or nightmares about that logo!

Can see you are enjoying the process not just the result, right?

    Cheering you on,

    Marja:cool:

Fine, because I don't have the finesse to explain it the way Uguel does. :D
The link in 443 has been corrected and it's the official site of Kim. The link in 444 is my mistake, which Uguel quoted. :doubt:
o_O I don't understand why you got a phishing alert, although I don't use IE often, only Opera & FF.
How much do you want? Of course all depends on the outcome. :D

And here she is Ladies & Gentlemen. A big welcome to Justine Henin playing amongst the stars.  :p

Thanks for the compliments! :D The first one is just one jet ski pic that I cut and pasted in DIP (Dig Image Pro). Just pasted several times, starting quite transparent and making the transparency less with each new pasting. It was a pretty quick one...about 10mins. Then went to PSP to add my old favourites.... 'sunburst' filter and 'xero moonlight'. I just love these two....
The Jordan one was just a transparent and feathered cut and paste again...took about 5mins! The polar bears and pool table were just a couple of silly ideas I came up with (one of the soccer players is Beckham!).....Trying to make up for my lack of ability!
Thanks! No, still swapping! As I said above...simple copy/paste in DIP.
    Cheers guys,
    Brad.

Wow, Bigbuck and Eldar you are doing very well. ;)
And both of you certainly don't lack any humour!!! :D
BB, my favourite is the polar bear one..in post #453!
Hockey is A Nordic sport so the polar bears go very well
with the hockey players! Especially when they are made
    fans!

Eldar, I like the pic of Justine Henin!
It has both humour and energy in it.
    Very good!!! :)

Do you mean you don't see the drop shadow screenshot?
If it's what you meant look into post 461 ;)

Dig Image Pro has plenty of filters....this would be a quarter or fifth of what they have. They have a plugin folder too, but I don't have any yet....

it is good when you can see the effects from the thumbnail menu.
Most of programs show the name only. :)

Okay, this one took me about 3 hours in Paint Shop Pro.
But the guy is really worth it!!! I had to cut and clean
a lot. The first layer was reduced around 60% if I remember
well and then I applied two cut-out pictures 100% full opacity
and then wrote the name of the player in it! :)

Joe Sakic from the Avalanche of Colorado.... ;)
He is one of the best hockey player in the NHL.
He is not just an offensive threat but one of the best defensive
players in the game. He's all over the ice!!! :)

    Thanks Bigbuck! :)

I already started another one of him with a blue background but
I can't go too fast for there will be lots of cutting in it again...
and it's getting hard for the eyes ;)

Download the 'flood' filter from here http://www.flamingpear.com/download.html . They've got quite a few good ones! It says 'demo', but I've had mine for quite a while and it hasn't stopped working yet!
    Cheers,
    Brad.

Luckily they don't all takes so much time! :)

Another one...six filters in all were applied.
One for the logo, one for the blue colour, one for the player
and finally one for the star& puck and one for the player's name.
