Have noted several people commenting on RAID difficulties. I have an Asus A7N8X deluxe v 2.0, two 80GB drives in a RAID-0 configuration.

I just installed the trial version and made a boot CD. When booting from it, I get past the blue screen, then I get the next screen, which stops:

ohci1394_0: selfID received outside of bus reset sequence

(or was that first letter a 'g'?) then the system hangs until I reboot.

Dunno if this has to do with my mobo RAID-0 array or not. I am hesitant to move forward with Acronis TI until I figure out if this is going to work.

    Hello wwood_98,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

The problem is that current version of Acronis True Image doesn't support NVRAID that is installed in your motherboard. Our Development Team is working on this issue, the main problem being the lack of open source drivers for the chipset.

However, Acronis True Image should work properly if your disks are in non-RAID mode and if you use Acronis True Image under Windows.

    Thank you.

    Same issue, same motherboard

I receive the same error (ohci1394_0: SelfID received outside of bus reset sequence) when trying to boot from the CD, but, it does continue after a while and the ATI GUI appears. I also have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev 2.0 motherboard. However, I have no RAID drives configured. My backup images are on an external firewire drive which ATI will not recognize because of the above error. All others drives are visible. NVRAID should not be an issue. Any advice Ilya?

    Re: Same issue, same motherboard

    Hello Hoopster,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Could you please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the details) and if it doesn't help please create the sysinfo.txt file (described in the post mentioned above) and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

The acpi=off noapic fix did not work. I have created a sysinfo.txt file and sent it to support@acronis.com.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello Hoopster,

I am really sorry to hear the fix didn't work. If you do not get any response from Acronis Support Team within 48 hours please let me know your Acronis request # which was sent to you in autoreply. I will try to find the reason for the delay.

    Thank you.
