Sorry to take so long to reply about the water/basketball picture. Yes, it is a filter that works in either photoshop or psp. it is another Flaming Pear plugin called flood. the light intensity was not good enough to make it obvious but the plugin will show images reflected on the surface of the water for a realistic look. It's sort of a fun special effect. I find it makes rather good indoor floods.

Somebody must like dolphins. Here in california you can see to kinds. one are colored like little killer whales, and the other is the larger grey type. don't see them much, but they are really great to watch.

Since I will leave you with another example of the flood filter!

Nah, big buck that one is not free. they do have a large number of free ones some are pretty good. Most flaming pear plugins are special effects plugins and I got a lot of them from my sister when she was getting her degree in videography. It's amazing what good deals the students get. Its a strange industry and they seem to understand that students just cant pay for most of the programs they need while in school. There are lots of tricks to getting the stuff free and she knows how to milk the system.

Pick up the free plugins, it's burried somewhere on the page and unless they changed it is bundled as a single zip file. I like colorful so Kyoto Color, Vitriol, Zephyr, and Ornament impressed me. Some of the others would be useful if you can figure them out. chromasolarize makes a nice halo, but I noticed an interesting, maybe not intended use. If you have an alpha mask - a black mask with a white object - if you chromasolarized it repeatedly the white shape turns into a white outline on black, so you can make line objects instead of solid ones.

Tachyon makes things look radioactive, cant leave that out. That makes seven simple, but sort of cool free plugins.

There best out of there commercial plugins looks to be Knot, and it is only for Macintosh.

you know what is sort of an interesting couple of free plugins? AutoFX, or AFX for short offers one or two hopefully still free. Dreamy Photo, and Mosaic. Mosaic is straight forward, but dreaming photo is a little tricky. I Think it might be pretty good.

    (this is by Mosaic)

Hey Bigbuck, no need to buy it when you can get it for free! :)
After you downloaded it, you install it in your PSP plugin folder.

    filter flood

Edit: this is a demo only!!!
So it will work but will not have all the effects in it.
    Just a few! :)

Now I see what the deal is.
I was just informed by someone that it is a demo version only!
The demo version is free but the full one isn't.
So HandsOff was speaking of the full one. :)

It's only one filter though? Do you think it will expire?

    Unfortunately, yes. :(
I just went to the FAQ and read this:

What's the difference between the demo and the full version?
The demos stop working after two weeks. There's no other difference.

Ok, more pics to go with our theme!
Dolphins are really smart ones and seem to smile
at us all the time! :) No special effect was applied
in the picture. Just a pic + a frame. :)

    Another one....
I did the water with a little program called
Reflet. It is much easier to animate water with that
program than with Animation Shop. You can download
that little program for free at the Photofiltre webpage. ;)
But the program is not perfect, we got to help it a bit....
Sometimes it adds too much water, all you have to do
is to resize the picture after, or cut the picture at
the bottom in order to get rid of unwanted water . :)

PS. That reflet seems to be in French. I can't seem to find the English version?

hmmm, I just went to check on the website and you're right,
on the download page it says that it only exists in French!
Lol, this doesn't happen often! No problem Brad, the program
is very concise. I will translate the menu and post it tomorrow
...well, later today. There are just a few lines to translate... :)
