About an hour for me here

And I have PMs from some of you asking me about it here :D

I think you're not alone

Ok, so if Wilder's was down we would post over there, right?

My guess CJ is it must be equipment failure, DoS attack, or power outage. I know www.nac.net isn't down so that rules out ISP failure unless it's a node or something that's gone down. I haven't been able to get there (BBR) for about 90 minutes now.

I'm going back to cleaning my house now. :D :p

DSLR went down at 2:40PM Hawaii Standard Time. It has been down three hours now. NAC.net is fine. It is just dslr so, yeah, I would think equipment failure most likely.
I was in the middle of trying to post when it went down. I've been checking my Ping Plotter every few minutes. :D I hope Justin could be reached easily. I recall one time he was on the other side of the world asleep with his cell turned off and no one could reach him. He got up that morning, got on his computer and went to dslr and it wasn't there! That was the first he knew about the problem and the site had been down for many hours by then. Nil was was off river racing or something like that and also could not be reached. I'm sure that not the case this time. :)

Yes, Calamity Jane, we have traditionally posted at both sites when one is down. Lots of people belong to both Wilders and dslr. If this had happened to Wilders I, or someone else, would be asking at dslr. I found Wilders years ago from members at dslr. I love both sites.

Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully it is something that can be fixed quickly.

Not that it matters really...but I'm puzzled. Where did my attachment go? It uploaded but now I don't see it.

    Hi Janie :D

Yep, as you and Mele wrote:
We will always inform each other in case the other board goes down for awhile.

Are you sure? I'm getting this from Proxo:

    Error connecting to site

    The Proxomitron couldn't connect to...
    www.dslreports.com/postlist
The site may be busy or the web server may be down.

Ping Plotter is showing bits of connectivity. No solid red but lots of disconnects still. At 5:50PM there was 18 minutes on Ping Plotter that showed complete connectivity but I couldn't connect at all during that period and can't now either. :(
That's ok as I am getting caught up here. :)

Or you can just go on dial up if you have it. I cannot get to the site via Road Runner Cable modem but I can reach the regular dslr address (not the special one Justin mentions) via Road Runner dialup which uses AOL phone numbers and routing. Road Runner DNS servers seem to think that dslr does not exist but the AOL DNS servers can get me there. Good ole AOL!:D

I got through, but, it wouldn't switch to any other page, through Google, the connection was refused?!? Does that help? Probaby not, guess AOL wins! :D

Yes. Even the email server is not working. (Used OE to check my various email addressess, and it couldn't find "DSLR.")
