I have created 2 image files setting the splitter at 4200M. The first file is 4,300,800 KB and the second is 3,847,039 KB. The files verify fine and I start burning to Dvd+r using a Plextor 716A and Roxio DragnDrop. I format first which takes about a minute then drag the first file to the DragnDrop icon. In about 12 minutes it burns fine and I check the size and it reads 4,300,800. I then do an Eject and select Use in any Computer and Protect. After the Dvd+r is ejected I read it in the Plextor or in another Dvd Reader and the file size is 106,496 KB. I have tried burning this file more than once with the same results. However the second file of 3,847,039 KB burns fine and reads as 3,847,039 after Eject.
Is there some limit as to file size with DragnDrop o_O
    Some other reason o_O

    Thanks for your help

I have tried and used up many media trying to burn images to DVD+R media. The image burns successfully to the DVD but will not verify from DVD. It says the file is corrupt. It verifies fine on the Extermal Hard drive. I have set the splitter to 2000M and then copied one file at a time to the DVD so 2 files per DVD. I am using Roxio DragnDrop the version that comes with the Plextor 716A burner.
Is the verification supposed to work on the DVD o_O?? I think Ghost 9 is the better solution with builtin DVD support.

Does anyone know why I cannot verify successfully from DVD o_O?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello dymfg,

The verification should work with DVDs as well as with any other storage. Please try to set your burner speed to something less than maximum and burn the image once again. The problem with corrupted images is usually connected with some hardware problems rahter than Acronis True Image itself. You may try to check the integrity with special tool:

    - Download the checksum utility from www.acronis.com/files/support/md5sum.exe
    - Run the application and click on the ellipsis sign to browse and select the image file you have created choosing the image file on DVD and then on hard disk.

If the MD5 checksums are different the problem is in the DVD burner. Please try to update your burner firmware and your DVD burning application.

    Thank you.
