Hi. I have recently installed Outpost and I am puzzled about (amongst many other things at this stage !!) the multi-references in configuration.cfg/ Blocked, to "PEDEMO.EXE", which apparently relates to the screen which confirms the "evaluation" element in the trial version of PE I have at present. Why does this continue to appear if it is "blocked"and why block it ,anyway ? Cheers. Alpha.
Hi. Configuration.cfg is not a file anybody reads for usable information as far as I know. It is not in a readable format for most. It is your current configuration, which you can see when you open the interface. Are you seeing PEDEMO blocked in Outpost blocked log or attack detection log? I am a Mod and beta tester for Outpost and I don't have a clue what that file is. You would get better help if you went to the Outpost forum http://www.agnitum.com/forum/. There may be someone there that is familiar with this file. Your post raises several questions, such as why does it continue to appear? Appear where? What screen are you talking about that confirms the evaluation element? Would love to help you, but your post only raises questions as I don't know what PEDEMO.exe is.
Hi root, alpha24 is currently test driving Port Explorer(fromDCS). I believe that is the program he is referring to when he mentions the pedemo.exe. Little offtopic here, alpha24, I know I told you to learn all you could(Spyblocker forums) and ask lots of questions, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Don't bite off to much at one time by trying all of the available programs all at once!

Reost Explorer (Correct this time !!!) Hi. Well, all I can do is apologise to you Root for getting my apps confused and producing a "head-scratcher"of a posting and thank V.V for digging me out so quickly !! You are right on the ball V.V, I'm trying to do too much at once. I think it's because there were problems (now resolved) with the Outpost download and I intended to install either the plug-in WhoEasy or Port Explorer after trying-out both. My mistake was in getting impatient and installing PE out of the sensible sequence I had originally planned. Still-live & learn I suppose !! Reost Explorer (Correct this time !!!) Well, I think I need to apologise to both root and alpha24, now. alpha24, I actually posted just to let root know that you were trying out Port Explorer. If your question was about that app being blocked by your firewall, then you are in the right place. The comment about being off-topic referred to me, not you. This is a firewall forum, therefore the second part of my post was "off-topic". Now let me get out of here, before I have everyone wondering if it is night or day.
No need for anyone to apologise. Stuff happens. Things get out of sequence, and we all find ourselves scratching our heads at times wondering how we got ourselves in such a mess, I think. At least I do.
Re: I'm not really sure. !!!!! I've had my head in a bucket of cold water for 5 minutes but it hasn't helped !!! I am now confused about the confusion, and that is really confusing. !!!
