One should not jump to conclusions, unless you know what the rest of his set-up comprises.

Another happy Firefox user here :)

I think my favorite features are the increase text size which IE won't go above largest, whereas FF will (on some sites I need this)

The tabbed browsing is great too, once I got used to it :)

I mainly switched to FF from IE6 to get away from those darn IE ActiveX popup warnings when I have ActiveX restricted. Annoying to say the least. I ended up staying with FF as it is now my browser of choice.

I also got tired of tryng to teach folks new to security how to secure IE and began recommending FF to them as well. SP2 has helped a lot in that regard, but personally I still prefer Firefox just because it's a nice browser. Haven't tried the others though....no time LOL

More and more Firefox....less and less IE. Hands down Firefox is winning the useage war in this household. ;)

I suppose I didn't have browser of choice. IE6 was thrust upon me when I started using computer. I did download Firefox but when I read somewhere Firefox doesn't do the complete job and IE6 has to be used, I declined not wanting to be using two browsers when one really does, or have I got it wrong.

I'm using IE, but I would love to get FF again.

I had it once before, but somehow it seemed to not install right.
I kept getting weird error messages, which I don't remember.

So though very tempted...I'm scared to dl again.
    I know, it's silly.....:doubt:

not aware of any links to this topic or any conflicts with firefox being on ones system prior to loading up XP2 > . . Push comes to shove and you havent managed to find out whether there has been any conflicts , you could uninstall firefox and reinstall it again after the updates. I loaded up XP2 with a fresh reformat at the time as I wanted to load up process guard and prevx on a clean system. So I cannot say for sure . My advice is take the plunge lol

Once you have firefox up and running you may wish to try Thunderbird email client that is a nice compliment for firefox

Good grief! I just finished trialing Opera 8.0beta, not the newly released final version. I must admit that I really wanted to like this thing, but it had two glaring disadvantages, for me anyway.

First, the Popup Stopper has no White List, you either have to have it completely turned on or completely off. Second, ... the cookie manager ... GOOD GRIEF ... why isn't it simple like FF or even IE? Hoping they improve this thing, I can see that it has a lot of potential, but for $40 it should be perfect since all of the others are free. Take care.
