Heello, I'm from the East coast of Australia. A town called Newcastle. About 150 km from Sydney. We have a thousand beaches and also the largest salt water lake in Australia - Lake Macquarie * brag brag * It is a wonderful part of our world. Come visit. I would love to visit some of the places mentioned here. And I will. This is my first post " G'DAY TO YOU ALL MY FRIENDS ! "

Cowboys and Indians don't mix..............O.k I make an exception. You don't seem tooooooooo hostile. What I fail to understand is, if they wanted to put the fire out, why not simply pour water on it. Each to there own.......I..............guess * hmmm* Thank you for the hospitality you englishman are renowned for :]

I am Jack, a retired Fire Captain (duh) for the Los Angeles Fire Department. I live in Fontana, California, a nondescript city of 135,000 souls at the foot of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains. I am a mere 5 miles from the San Andreas Fault. That's my claim to fame.

    Hey Capt. Jack,

You're going to love it here. No flaming is allowed so you can put your extinguishers up in the attic. One of my many "faults" is that I live in "Taxachusetts". Lots of good info here. Have fun!

    Play on, big ed

Morning. Well it is here anyway, about 00:20 AM. My name is Gordon and I live in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne which, as the name suggests, is on the River Tyne in North East England, about 8 miles from the Sea.
I've been aware of this forum for a while, and indeed one of the members here posts on an ISP forum I moderate on.
Anyway I finally got round to registering instead of just hovering around anonimously in the background. God knows this place is a hell of a good resource and it would make life a lot easier if a few more people on the net took security seriously.
Enough of my rambling, glad to be here :D

The locals refer to this area as "Upstate, NY", why I don't know as this area is really western NY. Regardless, that places me some place in the vicinity of Smiling MGD above.
