I am very sad of this news. Sassy has touched so many in so short a time, but I feel certain she is with her little angels, herself an angel.

Dr. Nick and family and friends, may God give you strength and support.

This question was asked on another forum. And I owe it to Marissia to post this here also.

Sassy, Marissia, was~and will always be~ my Forever Sister & My Very Special Friend.
She was a lively person stuck inside a very sick body.
She was a very special Angel, who had the most kind, gentle, most innocent, pure heart. She was a lady who could give you some "Sassiness" in one breathe, and a warm gentle, loving hug in the next. She was a young woman who loved life, her husband, and trusted all. She had a way of saying words and sentences that would just melt your heart. She was "the too very" nice to everyone. She was the "life" in a forum. She put a smile on your face with just words, and then apologize for her "not too good of the english."
Sassy battled brain cancer for the past year. She lost her 3 babies because of it. She had numerous brain surgeries, and her weight got down to 66 lbs. This last month of her precious life, she fought and battled to gain weight and to build her strength back. She was bound and determind to win this fight. She wanted to win and live and be with her husband. During the last 4 weeks, she had gotten her weight up to 80lbs. She had built her frail body up, forcing it to climb stairs, to walk on a treadmill~ until, I might add, the nurses made her stop after 6 minutes. She was on her way back. She wanted to live out her life. Just 2 short weeks ago, thankfully, she had the joy of having her wonderful husband, Nick, take her to her first casnio. She told me of all the bright blinking lights she just loved. She told me of the fun she had jumping on the beds. She told me how she couldn't believe all the choices of foods. She told me of all the fun she had riding an amusement park ride and watching her 6'2" and 230lbs. husband "cry like a baby" on the ride and her saying,"stop that, you Big Baby, your making my ears hurt! That's not going to work on me" (You see Marissia was a whopping 4'8" in height.)
You see Marissia grew up in a very shelter, small place with an over-controlling father. So, she taught all of us to appreciate all those things we live with and see everyday. And she had such an excitment about things. She could not wait to come move to where we live and go see the "explosions in the sky"~the fireworks at the forth of July. She looked forwarded to learning all the Sassy American Ways." She looked forward to cooking us "some good Greek Foods." She was thrilled when we told her about Banana Splits, Banana Cream Pies, Fudgecicles, and chocolates. LOTS AND LOTS OF CHOCOLATES. She loved chocolates. She told us of fun of being able to ride a helicopter ride. ~Which I believe was a Med-VAC ride taking her to another hospital.~ She spoke of the excitment of riding on a boat. She was excited about visiting "the America for just the little time" once, and how she couldn't wait to get here and see everything. She couldn't wait for our children to teach her how to make "the triple decker peanutbutter and jelly sandwich". And she would help leave the messes for their momma." Now this is the same person who after having radition and chemo, would scrub down the tile in her bathroom. And since she never could quite trust the people that put the food in the cans, would make EVERYTHING she ate from scratch.
I could go on and on and on.
See, Marissia, brought joy to our lives and everyone's live because of the joy and excitement she had for life. She made you excited about life. She showed and taught you to have fun in your life, because she had fun. Even in her last weeks, her sick weeks, she had fun and was grateful for everything. Did I mention that this wise, wise, wise woman was 21 years old. She has been living in a separate country from her family. She couldn't speak the language where she lived. Her husband worked out of the country from her some of the time.
You see, Marissia just loved everyone. She welcomed everyone into her life. Right now, I know, she would "be the too very sad" that she has made everybody "the too sad. This is not good!" she would say, "Everybody should be the happy, because I am with my momma and my babies. Now Steve and Cindy you be the happy now and take care of my Nick. And soon you all will be the happy and will be with me in the Heaven too. And we will party then, yes? You will be using your patience, yes? You be happy now everyone, okay?"
Yes, Marissia, I will try to be using my patience, but it will be the difficult. And you will just have to put up with my tears for just a short while, okay, my friend?
Yes, we will be the together very soon.
    Now, You Go Girl!!
And show Heaven what ya got!!
    .....................................................................
The first time I told Marissia "You go Girl" ~ she thought I was saying "good-bye" LOL! I had to say "NO-not good-bye!" It means like..."Way to go" or "Good Job"
That was one of our difficulties, she would have so much trouble understanding my "slang" terms. But, we always had an understanding that I was never meaning anything bad or mean towards her.

Well, this is about 1/4 of the awesomeness of Sassy Girl.

This was my Sister for life and beyond. This was "My Big Special Friend"

    I'll See you soon,
    Sis

One of the day I came to wilders , and I got a pm from someone named Sassy Girl , she told if she can come and join my forum also. I told ofcourse and wilders and my site , you are always welcome... that was the start , she posted a lot , came to the chat room we had talked made us laugh and made us feel life is really beautiful.. I did make her my sister since start and I will never forget how much happiness she gave me and encouragements and ofcourse , the never ending smiles.... It was nite here when I saw this news and I understood my tears would be hard to stop , and it continued for sometime , the more I see her avatar , her posts , her name ... I will never forget her and I will not let others forget her too .... I have already renamed one of my forum (Humpty Dumpty) to Sassy Talks... she will be always as long as we are all here and ever.... I couldnt sleep nicely tonite .. woke up at morning and tears again.... I have never met any better person in my life.... Sister wherever you are I love you and I know everyone will go to God one day but if I have done anything good in life , God will surely make us both meet , I didnt see you yet but Sassy... :'( ... well.. I stop ..
I am deeply affected by this news.... upset and depressed .. and I will find it hard as there will be never ever another Sassy

    Dear Friends,
Both Cindy and I wish to express a sincere Thank You to all of you for all of your kind words and deeds in our time of sorrow over the loss of our special friend Marissia. When I had to make the original post about what had happened, I wondered if I was ever going to be able to come back here. Reading my post again everytime was just so sad. We are both still so heartbroken about this. But now when we come here and read and see the things that have been posted, our hearts, even though filled with a profound sadness, are also filled with joy at the fact that Marissia has so many friends around the world. True friends that show a genuine concern and compassion for her. Marissia was truly a special person to all. She touched everyone that ever talked to her in her own special way. She was truly a one of a kind person. Truly an Angel here on Earth.
We copied many of the postings and the beautiful pictures and laminated them. We then tied them along with some flowers to some balloons, and in our own special farewell, released them into the Heavens. Without all of the beautiful things that were posted by all of her friends, it would not have been nearly as special.
Once again, Cindy and I want to Thank You all for your concern and compassion to Marissia, her husband Nick, her brother Miko, and to ourselves. Farewell Marissia, but just for now.
Here are a few of the pictures we took.
    Steve and Cindy

As I sit here and read about Sassy leaving us I am in shock and disbelief. I met Sassy when she first came on to Subratam's forum. Yes, I agree she was a very special person touching people in her own special way. She will be missed.

My heartfelt sympathies to Sassy's husband and her family.

    With deep compassion - Peaches
