A warning to users. All support email to Acronisis is now being bounced. I have tried everthing suggested here to contact Acronis. I only wish for my paid for upgrade to function.
Therefore, after the weekend. I intend to contact all the UK computer magazines with the resume of my problems with Acronis.
I have also made contacted a friend in the Visa organisation who is going to look into the matter for me, with a view to getting a refund.
Would anyone else having this problem reply here - I have had many replies from UK users with the same problem via a couple of forums.
Perhaps the company is going out of business?

    Hello dvt,

In your other thread here, ronjor had given you a thread to read through:

    This one -> https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=60602

In that thread Acronis Support had requested another member to re-send the email and to also send Acronis Support a PM (private message) with the Acronis number of the request. Did you do that?

You can send Acronis Support a private message via their Profile Page found here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/member.php?u=13415
Just click on the link under the Contact Info: "Send a private message to Acronis Support"

    Regards,

    Are you using support@acronis.com?

I am in Chicago and just sent a test email the this address with no bounce. Infact, I got an autoresponder repy, ticket number 185411, within 60 seconds.

If you are using a UK email address, try the one above and notify them of the trouble. If it is the address above, I would contact your SMTP provider and see if there is some reason for this address not making the trip over the pond.

    Mike

kena - I have split your post off this thread as it had nothing to do with "bounced emails" (which is what this thread is about) and I have merged it with your existing thread here.

funny, i thought the thread had something to do with taking action which is exactly what i posted about.. Taking action against a company that offers no support.

Is this not the context of your thread?

Can someone tell me what the fix is for this error i get when trying to back up to a network drive under XP

If so, it has no bearing here.

Yes thats the context of a thead i started, but that's not what I was responding to here. I was responding to the OP regarding taking action:

"I intend to take action by demanding my money back from the dealer. If they won't refund, i will contact my credit card company. Unacceptable way of doing business."

When i read this post it has less to do with a bounced email and more to do with no response from support, product that doesn't work as advertised and the intent to do something about it. But then I paid for my SW with mastercard not visa like the OP so I suppose the hypersensitivity is warranted afterall.

kena - If you will re-read the first post in this thread, specifically the first line which contains the reason for dvt making their post, the problem they are having is being unable to contact Acronis Support to help them register their upgrade due to their emails being bounced:
Now why their emails are bouncing I have no idea, and it could be for a number of reasons since other's (including yourself) have received a reply whether that is an automatic one or not, you still received a reply, whereas dvt has not received reply because their email has bounced for unknown reasons.

Now, if you just want to beef while you wait for a response from Acronis, be advised that any product bashing is against our forum TOS and jumping into another person's thread and taking the thread off topic not only confuses an issue, but is also not appreciated and therefore further off-topic posts/comments will be removed.

You have a thread where your issues can be addressed in...please stay with that one and avoid cross-posting. Thank you.

    Regards,

    snap

I've received an apology and my serial number from Ilya so the matter's closed as far as I'm concerned. Amazing what a bit of fuss can do. And thanks for the space to sound off!

    Hello all,

First of all, I would like to make our apologies for all the inconviniences connected with the e-mail bouncing. We are working at this problem but since we do recieve letters from many e-mail addresses it seems that the problem might be with some current SMTP providers. That is why I would like to ask everyone who has got the problems of this sort to contact your e-mail provider and send a PM with the Acronis request # to me.

I can assure everyone that Acronis is NOT going out of business and that new products are being developed at present.
