trojan backdoor need help

    hello people at wilder . igot on my pc today and find out that
    my AVG free had put Trojan Horse Backdoor.Ruledor.c into the virus vault.
    I tried to heal and delete the item but i couldn't do it. The path of it is
    C:/WINDOWS/ICLEAR~1/aaaP026.exe What i would like to know is if it could of damaged anything and how can i get rid of it.If you have any info on this please give a response if u can ....thankyou

    I think my first action would be to try and delete it in safe mode. If it doesn't work post back here.

    i went in to safe mode and went to the virus vault and it wasnt thereo_Oi got out of safe mode and went back in and tried to refresh and nothing happened so i have no clue what to do now o_O??

    So if I understand you correctly, the malware is gone now?

    i geuss but i didnt do anything to make it that way? i am going to do some searching to see if i can find it . if it shows up i will try to get rid of it in safe mode and if that dosent work i will post another message thanks bigc for trying to help

    Hi, also try using another good AV just to be sure its gone, there are some good free online scans and most companies offer free trials of their software, somtimes a second opinion makes all the difference.

    To be sure your system is clean, you could try following the comprehensive steps found in General Cleaning. The steps mentioned use software that ought to be part of your security, as an absolute minimum. Once your system is clean, please don’t hesitate to ask further about using these and other security software to protect your computer.
