With the latest release of Diskeeper (9.0),
How many people use it and what do you think about it?

I been using 7.0 and 8.0 for awhile and wouldn't run my system without it.

    No, I haven't used it, it is a defragger isn't it. :)

I have been a user for about 3 years now. I can not get version 9 to work at all on my system and am currently trying out some other defraggers. I will try DK one more time before I decide to change or keep it. I have heard other stories of people having problems also. I would definitely try out the new version before putting down the money on the upgrade....

Yes it is a defragger. I have to say, its the fastest one on the market. about 200x faster than the windows defrag tool.

ONe of the coolest features is the "Set it and forget it" which allows you to keep your system defragged

    Perfectdisk has many fans.
I've tried both diskeeper and perfectdisk, and preferred the latter. But both are good products.

I uised to use DK9.0 but I tried O&O and found it to be better. O&O has no boot-time scan but that's cool.

I don't like diskeeper at all. It nearly cost me to lose some of my files, it defragged my computer but only made it worse. So, I now use PerfectDisk and my computer has no problems at all and much more faster.

Overall, I find that perfectdisk is more easier to use than diskeeper.

I agree with you guys... ;)

PerfectDisk or O&O Defrag, instead of Diskeeper...

I used to use O&O Defrag but in SP2 it seems that it have some bugs, so I will wait for a new version.

Now I use PerfectDisk and it works very well with the suggestions that I found in the help file...

Sometimes, when I choose to defrag some partition with the SPACE method, he doesn't finish the job and make an infinite loop in some file...
Another thing is the GUI that doesn't show correctly...

    The rest works fine...

My PC has rocketed in speed since using Diskeeper. I've never heard of O&O before and never tried PerfectDisk so I can't say anything about them. It's strange that DK had some ill affects on some people's computers. I have XP SP1 and haven't had any issues with DK before.

O&O has a boot-time defrag (you must create a new job for it ;) )
I think O&O is the best defrag

I use diskeeper version7.0.418.0 It seem to work very well and it will defrag my HDD in just about 5/7 minutes. I keep my comp pretty clean but that is a fast defrag in anyones book ;) On xp pro sp2

To create a new job, select “Add job” from the menu.On "Volume" tab choose the volume and the defragmentation method you wish to use ; activate the boot time defragmentation ; hit "Set" button ; select the action under "Take following action when defragmentation is complete" .On "Time" tab set frequency and time to run.On "Job-ID" tab check "Job activated" . Hit "Apply" button.
