;) I did try it. Still enjoying it right now... :D

Very good job ! OpenSource at its best - programmers all over the world can modify and alter and improve on products provided they don't try to make money that way...
    I love that !

I''ve been using moox M2 builds for a few months now & I couldn't see myself going back to vanilla FF. :)

Start up times are about the same for me, but I noticed a big speed increase when I access bookmarks, history, menus, page loads, etc. I Never had any problems with extensions either.

Do they get updated/patched like FF proper?

    Hello bigbuck.

Moox builds do get updated the same day or less than a week after the official release. I forgot why there was a delay, but I think he was on vacation or something.

For more info you can check out the Mozilla Unofficial Builds forum for info on many different builds including moox

    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=42

    Moox also has a forum.

If anyone uses Thunderbird, moox TB builds work great too!

What i have seen so far with FF is .....faster for sure....my 1.0 themes won't fit....my extensions do....can not locate New Tab icon to drag / drop onto toolbar, as the window under View>> Toolbars>> Customize is not showing all that should be shown there.........bummer...but, as much as i like the Themes, i may stay with the new as it is faster...this is a good thing :)

    Hey there rainwalker.

I had a similar problem, but with my Compact Menu icon showing up. I didn't spend too much time trying to fix the problem, & just backed up my bookmarks, deleted my profile, & started over. I have no idea if that was a moox problem, or a funky extension that I was using.

I noticed I had a problem with a theme (lonegone? I think I saw it here) not working correctly at one time. An updated version worked fine. Hopefully you're in the same situation.

    Have a good one,

    Clowny

i installed the optimized firefox once and for some reason i couldn't download any of the plugins, they just wouldn't recognize the optimized firefox. also pages wouldn't load and it would go alot slower. it was just a disaster. then i had to install the official firefox again. so i don't know man. i had a bad experience with the optimized firefox.

Man, that sucks ninja. Did you try to backup/delete your old profile at all? I know from experience that if you download the wrong M build that problems can happen.

If you're interested in giving it another try, you could try the advice in this post from the moox forum

    http://www.moox.ws/forum/viewtopic.php?t=90

Did you try to use one of the trunk builds? I never touch them myself & only use the official milestone releases.

    Have a good one,

    Clowny

Yeah, man, I did a fresh install. I uninstalled the official Firefox and I even cleaned the registry files lol. But for some reason I didn't have any luck with Mozilla Optimized although I am thinking of giving it another try.
