Because of problems with creating a boot cd with build 786 support has sent me a link to a .iso file which I have downloaded

How do I extract the files to a cd I have Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creater 6 to burn the files do I need a further program to extract the files

As you can tell I have not had to deal with this type of file before any links ?

To extract the file you can use a tool called 'Iso buster'
    That's what I am using.

Easy CD, which I don't happen to use, ought to have a way to do directly itself. What you are doing is burning an image or iso file to a CD, which you will then use as any other program CD. Nero, which I use, has a number of tasks options for you to choose between, such as move data to CD, make an audio CD, or burn image to CD.

Just double click the file. It should automatically open in Roxio.

Thank you all for your advice

I have now successfully burned the iso image, I have had to redownload the file as the first download appeared to be corrupt

However even with the iso file my problem of no mouse support on booting from the cd persists in the latest build (Build 774 boot cd works ok)

Using the sysinfo command after the F11 states no mouse detected, as it did after burning the boot cd from windows

This very strange as the only hardware I have added since making the 774 disk is a laser printer which has not been switched on when making the disks

Tomorrow I will uninstall TI8 and re install to see if this cures the problem, if not back to support

    Dear Cumo,

Just thought that you would like to hear that I also have a lack-of-mouse problem with build 786, and had no problem with build 774.

I contacted acronis support directly (not via this forum), and at their request I have sent some debug info. I suspect it is some little thing that will be rapidly fixed.

Meanwhile, the bootable CD I made with build 774 continues to work.

I also discovered that I can install build 774 on top of build 786, and thereby return to build 774.

Finally, I should mention that Easy CD Creator has a number of useful options, including making ISO files, making CDs from images, making bootable CDs from bootable floppies or other bootable media, etc. You might want to browse the manual.

I too contacted support with my problem before posting here, including sending them debug information, my boot cd problem appears to be exactly the same as yours

The reason I posted was I was not sure how to extract the iso file but this is now sorted

As stated above after burning the iso file the problem remains with no mouse support - mouse not detected

The strange this is that support tells me they have not changed the code for mouse support

Later today I will completely unistall TI 786 and reinstall to see if that cures the problem and post back with the results

After removing TI8 using the instructions in beenthereb4's thread here I have reinstalled TI8 build 786 and made a boot disk from the set-up screen

Guess what no mouse support when booting from the cd

    Have emailed support again

    Hi everybody,
I've been using ATI .0 since now 3 weeks. I find it very good, no problems so far. But since I used a lot DVD images and ATI does not seem to really support them, I think that ISO image you are all talking about would be very useful for me. Is there a way I can get it.
    Thanks very much.

As stated above I emailed Marian Fadeeva on 17/12/2004 at 14:33 to say the iso file didn't cure the mouse support problem

At 16:30 on 17/12/2004 I received a link to a further iso file which works for me

After seeing all the negative comments re Acronis support I can confirm that any problems I have had have always been sorted within a reasonable time
