Been on here a long time too, although the early years were fab...............its a lot quieter here now
What's interesting (to me anyway) is when you have been here for more than 10 years and you encounter an old post of your own and think "Did I write that? I don't remember writing that."
Hahaha! None of us are our younger selves. I'm frequently reminded of how arrogant I was in my youth.
LOL, that's indeed pretty bad, I don't think I have ever encountered this. But I'm not saying I have never been wrong about anything.
Congrats to you guys too. I wonder if it will become more crowded again, if Microsoft moves security tools out of the kernel, this may lower the bar for people to develop new security tools, since in theory it should be easier.
With the consolidation of AV companies there isn't a lot interesting to talk about security wise. I think maybe a new version of Windows would prompt some conversation for a while but I don't see that coming soon.
In my opinion, Microsoft should get rid of that "Registry". Somenthin new and innovative. But i fear in the future, every windows releases are more and more cloud based. Oh well.
I wasn't talking so much about AVs, but more about specialized tools like HIPS, from 2004 to 2010 we had a lot of those. So let's say you won't have to use pricey and complex drivers, perhaps people will start developing them again. Congrats!
