In the web browser version of the new player, during full screen mode, I really don't like the 4 buttons on top of the progress bar towards the end. See attached pic. With buttons on top and bottom of the bar, it gives a very squashed look, and it leaves very little room for error. I have already accidentally clicked the top buttons a couple of times when trying to rewind the video with a mouse. They also interfere with the displayed time index, when you hold the mouse over the progress bar, as the time appears superimposed on the top buttons. Google should move these 4 buttons to the bottom of the progress bar for a cleaner look.
It seems as though every second time I open Firefox and visit YouTube I get that new version. I'm no fan either. It looks ugly, but Google keep 'fixing' things for no real reason.
Google keeps on changing the interface to maximize their profitability. I do not think the new interface is designed from the end user's point of view. For example, I will never scroll down a playing video to look for new videos to play. If they really want to have a scroll down button, it should only display the current playing video's description and nothing else.
With this new YouTube, when I try to watch Live Streams, I get a screen that is approximately 1/3 of the screen, even in Full Screen mode it doesn't fill the screen. Anyone else? I suspect part of the screen is devoted to Live Chat, which I am not interested in. Is there a way to get the 'full' Full Screen mode back?
