Yep, here too, but I'm only using the free version, if that makes a difference.

    @SirShane

Here are some ideas to boost sales...

On your website, maybe add a section

"Dear user/customer, Get the word out and earn heavy discounts."

    or

Provide continuous ideas and feedback, and earn a free perpetual license"
    • Donations are welcome, but not needed - Buy me a coffee (Link to donations page)
    • Share us on socials - X, Facebook, Mastodon, Bluesky.
    • Join us and give your feedback and ideas - Join our Discord server, Join our Subreddit, Join our Telegram, Join our Wilder's Security Forum post, Email us
    • Referral program - Refer a friend or family member and get 15% off your order for the first year.
    • Review program - Post your blog posts and Youtube videos and earn a free 1 year license on us.
    • Sponsor Us

I think the above options would help boost some sales, but you also got to share the heck out of it on your part, like any forum you think will be interested, your own socials, have family and friends tell the people they know, etc.

Also, maybe offer a lower tier other than the Pro and Pro Tech

    Like maybe...

    SirCleaner Free
SirCleaner Standard - $9.99 Annual license or Donation Edition ($5 or more)
SirCleaner Pro - Keep the same price
SirCleaner Pro Tech - Keep the same price

Also detail each feature set for each product tier.

Plus I think the following adjustments to the features are ideal...

    Free:

    Basic Cleanup
    Find Large Files
    Find Duplicate Files
    Cleanup invalid Firewall Rules
    Dark and Light theme only

Standard or Donation Edition (Up to you):

Deep Cleaning - Same features as free, adds shellbag cleanup
    Registry Defrag
    Custom color theming

    Pro and Pro Tech

Same features as free and standard, with the following added features

Delete, Move or Rename files at Boot
    Clean Other User Profiles
    Compact Browser Databases
Windows PE & External Drive Scanning
    Clean USB History
    SirCleaner File Shredder
    Encrypt files
Troubleshooting - Windows troubleshooting tools and custom repair for DSM,SFC and CHKDSK
    Customer support

False positive, first time they have flagged the update exe. I will submit it to MS and have them remove it, its always their cloud side that flags the false positives. The exe is signed as well, you would think they would have white listed it by now.

The changes where the 80 some odd buttons I replaced, took a LOT of code to make the new buttons, changed the tab controls and multiple others things changed as well.

So now has more modern effects and looks so it doesn't look as out dated as others have said.

Nevertheless, Shane, the first impression for a user when opening the program is, no change. The big job you have done is more in details, not the overall look.

I changed the colours of the program to - light, and that made a huge difference in appealing impression. It says - Welcome, it "opened up the program". Work with that and differentiate things and features with colours, but sparse, conservatively. I also think the text could be a bit larger and fatter. It should be easy for the eye to see! Not so small that you have to read, if get my meaning. About colours, most of that section could be a Pro feature. A couple of preset images to choose from besides a default is enough in free. Overall that is not an important feature in a cleaning program since one hardly use it. At least very seldom.

Many cleaning programs looks odd and, well, not simple, and says more about the author then being straight forward at what it does. It is a simple look that should be the norm. Take a look at Abelsofts program.

The difference are subtle but I see a lot that has changed. Different tabs, rounded corners, etc.

@SirShane I like the changes, good work.

Ive been thinking about adding a first time run window, where it asks the user what color choices they would like and also if they would like to set the default choice for the cleaning options. Something like that anyways.
Like a startup wizard in a sense, that way new users don't have to wonder what to do next. Thoughts?

Also the update exe is password protected, the password is sirsoft all lower case. I made it password protected to keep it from being blocked which this is the first time I've ever seen it flagged. I submitted it to Microsoft to remove the false positive and it came back clean, maybe they already removed it.

As for the text size, they are huge on my monitors, but smaller on others. Also while trying to keep everything fitting with people with a high DPI on their system is a pain. I am going to test and play around with an option of increasing the font size that the user can set. No idea how well it will work but would be worth testing and if it works give that option to the user.

I think it's a good idea. Anything that helps a first time user will make them more likely to keep using it.

The font thing is a never ending broken battle. You will never be able to make everyone happy. The fonts still need to fit within the labels that contain them and at some point they won't if they are made too large. I'm not suggesting don't try, it's just a can of worms that isn't fun to open.

Is it possible to make the system uptime live in real time, including seconds?

Attached is a short video of HiBit Uninstaller's System Uptime. Change the .txt extension to .mp4.

It is in real time, I have it update every 45 sec since it isn't doing by the second in the text. The only reason why I don't have the seconds showing is space lol Depending on a persons computer name, Windows version being along the same line and the minimum size they have the Window it normally wont fit. That is the problem I have when trying to take into account all systems.

But a solution could be for me to offer a setting to have the seconds showing for users who need it AND have the space for it to show.

Sorry there hasn't been an update yet! As you know I also run a computer repair business and all my customers have had me updating all the systems to Windows 11. So I have been SLAMMED. But I will have an update out in a week or two, with a first run window that will ask what colors, what cleaning options and such. My goal is to make it much easier for new users. So more changes and such. I appreciate all of you!

    Hi @ Wilders

How do you Schedule this program to run via Task Manager? There doesn't appear to be any inbuilt scheduler.
What would be the configuration information needed to run it from task scheduler?

    Thank you

    Terry
