The crap on the Lenovo laptop turned out to be not that bad: only a trial version of McAfee antivirus and some Lenovo Now bloatware, which I both removed manually.

It also came pre-installed with a Microsoft Office trial, but I could activate that with the family member’s Microsoft/school account.

I’m only in doubt about Lenovo Vantage. I think that’s needed for driver/firmware updates and battery management?

if you dare after a backup: O&O shutup, but Windows Pro prefer GPO.
O&O Appbuster. if you cannot install it, then its really important for windows.

i set up 24h2 theses days with my personal experience - and less is still more.
telemetry is important if you want bugs fixed. shutup can disable some of them, but dont brick your windows.

lenovo is a descent hardware, but some lenovo software is claimed as adware -> malwarebytes adwcleaner

Yes, keep it, adware or not. It´s the best way to update firmwares and it provides useful information.

Oh, I did indeed run O&O ShutUp! instead of bloatware removal tools.

And I found one more application to remove: Motorola Smart Connect (apparently for Android only).

Thank you. A few sites have listed things that have been either added or "improved", but most of it looks useless...or worse.

Boy it gets time consuming after those 11 cumulative's since my PC is chalked with system icon arts as well as some old XP programs. Very useful one's. But sometimes for example after this latest one an old desktop upper screen launcher, RunMe would never retract and required having to launch one from the list for it to do so.Well much to my surprise after this last update now it AUTO retracts for the first time since before Windows 10. Definitely was worth holding on to those old custom programs from XP now. Dare i say Windows 11 after grueling opposition from me has found itself favorable.

sshot-2025-09-02-03-49-26.jpg 72 Hours marathon over 3 days 2 nights recustomizing NEW Windows 11 Install and is finally finished. One of these years i will decide to gather everything in one place in event of such new install and won't be searching all the massive enhancements to bring a new system to expected satisfaction.
