µBlock, a lean and fast blocker

Have you noticed that uBlock Origin is no longer available in the Microsoft Store, but there are two versions of uBlock Origin Lite?
And if you update the extensions, the new version of uBlock Origin Lite replaces uBlock Origin.

But the previous uBoL remains installed.
What's more, it's not possible to disable the default filter lists.

I reinstalled uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store.
In my opinion, the problem does not exist (yet?) in the Chrome Web Store because uBoL is still the previous version and not the latest release.

 

That's the correct problem: why the "Lite" version replaces AUTOMATICALLY the original "not-Lite" one without asking anything?
I mean, I expect that some message pops-up saying "this extension no longer works" not that I find "installed" an extension that I didn't install

Some MalwareTips users have written that uBlock Origin in the Microsoft Store is deprecated.
But it's obvious that Gorhill caused this problem, also because now there is only one uBlock Origin Lite extension (with the correct icon).

My uBO has not updated to uBO lite. I even ran updates within Edge and it still remains with uBO.

 

Did you download it from MS Edge store or from Chrome store? The Chrome version keeps working.
