Note that the checksums are different for those 2 versions (SHA256) I believe the older one (the 12th date one) may be the base version, and then it gets 'polished up' and released on the builds page perhaps.

Just a warning that Avast/Piriform is offering a BETA version of CCleaner v7.x to a small number of users, but the Forum Moderators who monitor the CCleaner for Windows board received no advance warning about this - see PeterPT's 28-Jun-2025 Firefox History and Bookmarks killed by using CCleaner 7. I looked for official documentation about v7.x but the Beta Releases board at https://community.ccleaner.com/c/beta-releases/32 hasn't been active since August 2019, and there doesn't appear to be any pinned topic in the Cleaner forum where v7.x beta testers can submit feedback. I should also mention that as of today the CCleaner download builds page at https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds is still offering the old CCleaner Portable v6.36.11508 (ccsetup636.zip, rel. 28-May-2025), and the official release announcement for v6.37.11523 (rel. 25-Jun-2025) still hasn't been posted at https://community.ccleaner.com/c/announcements/37.
