Oops. Deleted. Thanks. And thanks to Rules.

I was hoping for the return of the Registry Integrity Control. I'm not going to update SS15 until it does. I remain baffled as to their thinking in this matter. They could have just set it off for the initial install and a present a permission alert if and when a new user toggled it on. (I keep mine on Moderate and it's not at all that intrusive.)

Agreed. They keep removing protections, and I don't get it. What's the point anymore?

A planet full of state sponsored bad actors using AI and bitcoin-like P2P nodes to build the next generations of threats.

I believe you're referring to v12/14-to-v15 in "removing protections." It's been the understanding many of v12/14 protections' efficacy were somewhat idle in Win10 and largely ineffective in Win11. So, yeah, they were "removed" in the re-design. But if one is running Vista, v12 is still good-to-go.

I'm not a marketing guru but recognize that keeping the SpyShelter name was a tough call.

Registry Integrity Control is the only protection removed since v15 was released. (Sidebar: I was a beta tester.)

I find SpyShelter 15's core mission to be exactly as advertised, unique in several of its feature sets and a valuable element in my layered (bulletproof, of course) protection scheme.

"On-demand: Zen Browser" - I didn't know there was a Zen Browser. Looks interesting; thanks for the heads-up.

Spyshelter used to have much more granual process controls, 30+ different toggle protections for each process. Now those are all gone. It used to be able to prevent process termination and manipulation. And let's not forget that keystroke encryption is gone too. That's all gone now. It used to be able to auto-reenable protection if it was disabled. That's gone now. That's what I mean. SS is a shell of what it once was.

Yeah. The pretty much wraps up the previous 50 or so smattering of "15 isn't 12" posts.

    (Yes. I now there's a 14.0, but that's really 12.10.)

In my opinion, they should have announced no SpyShelter for Win11 and beyond with the last and only version developed for Win 10 being 14.0 with detail current license extension options and the caveat of reduced efficacy as discussed in their forum.

The corporation would have developed a new space for its new and different product under a new name. MoleAsylum? Maybe snag rights from the Stones: Gimme Shelter.

Rather than being slapped into this thread which can still be 12 active, some one here would create a new thread and discussions would commence for the unique new product.

Oh. Amazon Prime Day package just arrived. Don't go away. I'll be right back...

Hey! Has anyone noticed, SpyShelter 15 isn't 12??
