Someone told me to use "Shift + CTRL + V", in 30 years, I have new knew about it. I used to copy/paste into URL field to clean formatting.

Notepad killed it for me after it decided not save file after closing, I opened and edited the same file several times till I realized that no changes were saved and I lost all the work.
After that, I have settled with Notepad3, it is simple, yet effective, easy to copy/paste a single entry or to find the desired field, Notepad++ in comparison is too overwhelming.

    Windows 11 fresh install results

Le fun, le challenge, le story. I have for ye a review and impression from a fresh Windows 11 Pro edition installation, including setup process and 24H2 upgrade, desktop customization and tweaking for maximum privacy, problems with removing Edge and Windows Defender, default program association, system menu, performance, usability, standard user and exploit protection as correct methods for security, some other observations, and more. Take a look.

indows 11 reset - Results, findings, observations

What happens when you reset your Windows 11, rather than reinstall it? Let's see. To wit, a review and impression from a reset process of a Windows 11 Home edition setup, including separate tweaking and cleaning process for the Administrator and standard user accounts, removal of bundled unnecessary apps, reinstallation of said apps without user consent, pointless Windows Defender notifications, how to disable and stop real-time Web Threat services and Smart App Control tool, default browser nudges and pestering, some other changes, more. A journey, then. But perhaps not the one you wanted to embark upon. Enjoy.

Common users do not even know what a system restore is and normal users use a system backup. I do not recall a single instance when system restore helped with anything. System backup takes 17 secs to create and 2 min to restore.

I'll agree that common users may not know what it is but most people run with no backup at all so it can be helpful in those instances. I have actually used it multiple times over the years and it has been useful most of the times that I did. Your backup and restore times are great but those vary tremendously depending on the machine and the amount of data. A working restore point can be much faster. I restored a disk image on a PC at work a couple of days ago that took an hour and a half. This was a decent amount of data that was restored from a NAS. An external SSD is great when it is an option. You are probably mostly right but it is still good to know that Microsoft is doing this.

    As for 25H2, I hope it's better than 24H2.

Windows can still Restore a Previous "Known Good" configuration, even if people do nothing. MS itself recommends to use 3rd party system restore backup. System restore as a feature should just die already.

    Me too. I hope it's good. I haven't been a huge fan of 11.
