Today, I have for ye a detailed review of the new Plasma 6.4 desktop environment, covering look and feel, new dark theme, numerous ergonomic regressions, significant problems with basic font rendering and raw performance in a Wayland session on a system with integrated AMD graphics, superior X11 session behavior, problems with Discover and software management, various issues and bugs in the underlying KDE neon platform - installer inconsistency, disappearing icons, default browser configuration, repeatable Samba connectivity crash, apt error messages, alarming future trend for the Linux desktop, other observations, and more. Take a look.

    Sheesh...
Regarding scaling, did you try 100% to check if the blurring was reduced?

The blurring happened on all form factors in Wayland, it was as if you see the rendering in real time, every second or two, almost like a blur effect in movies sometimes. Very subtle but for me, perceptible.

    Thank you for the review.
The GPU that jumps to 100% every 2-3 seconds, nonstop, that is worrying. The blurriness is bad also. And the missing option to change the gamma setting is not good.
I understand plasma-session-x11 can be installed in Kubuntu 25.10. I don't know if that is the case for KDE neon as well. For the future, I really hope Wayland will be OK, without the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

That's a good start. I would hope the fix would be implemented under the hood, but for now, for the end user, at least the artifacts won't be visible.
