I didn't read the article. The résumé has basically a how well can I lie in a convincing manner on one page. I remember my first job many years ago, saw a sign that said help wanted. I went in had an interview with the manager while we filled out the job application. The was it, I started a few days later .
This is how AI would write 'I changed a light bulb' on your resume... 'I single-handedly managed the successful upgrade and deployment of a new environmental illumination system with zero cost overruns and zero safety incidents'. It is AI that reads the submitted resumes. It filters the responses so only a few get selected and passed on to an HR human to read. Businesses do not always get the best candidates because the creative slop is what impresses AI.
That pretty much sums it up. Unfortunately it is often that the best lairs are not the best person for the job but they get it anyway.
Aye, though usually fake resumes didn't stand up during the interview. Sadly, the resume as we knew it probably lost its effectiveness some time ago, and AI is the nail in the coffin.
