What I just did was setup the method. Then ran IFW and restored an image to see how it worked. I then ran IFL and restored yesterday's 4 partition image. Back to normal for me.

After installing a new TeraByte Drive Image Backup And Restore Suite version, it only takes a few minutes to update a new BOOTWIM, if you use some shortcuts like I've mentioned previously.

Yes. All I have to do is change...

    Code:
    D:\My_files\TBWinRE_files\404pe\tbwinpe.exe /bootwim D:\My_files\TBWinRE_files\404pe\ISO\sources\boot.wim /run restore.txt
    to this.

    Code:
    D:\My_files\TBWinRE_files\405pe\tbwinpe.exe /bootwim D:\My_files\TBWinRE_files\405pe\ISO\sources\boot.wim /run restore.txt

I made some moves, but it didn't seem work, except now Win10 and unallocated are next to each other.

Tarnak, that's perfect. Exactly what we wanted.

Now right click the Win10 partition, Resize/move. Hover near the right hand end of the Win10 partition until you see a 2 arrowhead icon. Drag to the right until you can't go anymore. The Win10 partition will meet the Data partition. The Win10 partition should be 50 GB larger than before. Apply, etc, This will be FAST.

After reading about the differences between IFW WinRE and IFW BootWIM, it looks like IFW BootWIM doesn't affect the installed WinRE. IFW BootWIM is a full TBWinRE build saved in Builder's folder.
    More info here.

Whether that settings affects IFW > Utilities > Create/Update TBWinRE WIM Used for Reboot, I don't know.

I knew it was too good to be true. I opened AOMEI and the good work was undone. Trust me to mess it up!!!!

Well, I got it shifted back, but somehow I enlarged the unallocated partition in the process. I really don't know/understand what I am doing.

When you hover on the end of the Win10 partition (the right hand end), do you see a 2 arrowhead icon?

You mean this button in the top right of AOMEI? I think that got me trouble, previously somehow when I used it.

Sorry. Right click the Win10 partition, click Resize/Move.
Hover the mouse at the end of the partition, over the II symbol. You will see a 2 arrowhead icon. Drag it to the right as far as it will go. Release the mouse button.
Don't select the 2 unselected options.
    Click OK.
    Click Apply, Proceed, etc.

I'm using a Demo version so I hope my choices are the same as yours.

Yeah, I have the real deal purchased in November 2023, at a very good price. Life time updates.

I am getting very frustrated with it.

If you don't click Apply, the changes you made will disappear when you close AOMEI.

This what I get when I follow you first instruction. I see a 2arrowhead icon in the far right of that line. It doesn't capture when I take a screenshot.

    Try this. Select...

Assign Free Space from partition (*) to (C)

    OK, Apply, etc.

Our problem is we have different versions. But I think my last post will work. It won't damage your C: drive. You have an IFW backup anyway.

If your Free space is behind the Data partition it means you didn't click Apply when it was in front of the Data partition.
Would you like to try again or abort?
