Brave browser - A rather interesting Chromium-based option

Here comes my review of Brave, a Chromium-based browser, including look and feel, numerous privacy-related options like Shields and support for Manifest V2 extensions, cosmetic tweaks for Web pages, Web3 functionality, built-in AI assistant, Dashboard, day-to-day use, performance, stability, some small quirks, other observations, and more. Have fun.

I ran SFC / SCANNOW, which found and fixed some corrupt files. I don't know if that fixed it, or the system restart I did just after the command, but Brave is now up to date.

I would be interested,if possible, to know the score of Brave and Firefox on this test:

    https://www.browserbench.org/Speedometer3.1/

    in your Linux OS.

Sampei, I don't really believe in browser benchmarks, so I'm not sure how useful the test would be.

Thank you very much for your helpfulness.
    No difference,in practice,between the 2 browsers.

My personal experience shows adblocker = massive speed improvement, noscript (used selectively and all that) = massive speed improvement, and the two combined gives the best speed boost, making any browser-specific technology irrelevant. It's about web pages and how badly they are written.

Yes what you wrote is right.
It is visible in this graph:

    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Blocking-mode

But for the same adblock + (Noscript) it is the different browsers that make the difference.

    P.S.

Probably the faster web page loading could also be affected by adblock MV3 compared to the same to adblock MV2 (both used in Hard Mode).

Actually OT in this tread but: I don't really see the need for Noscript given that it's easy in uBO to block 3rd-party scripts in Dynamic Filtering (with medium or hard mode) and even 1st-party scripts. And much more user-friendly than in Noscript.
