    I always change Sandboxie.ini path to
    Code:
    C:\Users\Paradoxical\AppData\Local\Xanasoft\Sandboxie-Plus
    and
    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SbieDrv]
    "IniPath"="\\??\\C:\\Users\\MrX\\AppData\\Local\\Xanasoft\\Sandboxie-Plus\\Sandboxie.ini"

    Today I installed Sandboxie-Plus-May-01-2025.exe and obviously, it didn't make checks to get my custom setup.

    @DavidXanatos add for any Insider or Final release a routine to check my custom setup, please.

    I'm not sure if its a good idea to keep the global sandboxie ini in a user specific folder

    Allow me to elaborate a bit.

    I always update or upgrade Sandboxie-Plus, which currently has the custom path and registry value as I mentioned in my comment above, by downloading the executable from your GitHub.
    Then I run it and upgrade over the existing version.
    Success. The routines honor my custom settings. Nice.

    Now, when I ran the latest Sandboxie-Plus Insider trying to upgrade the above-mentioned installation, it didn't honor my sbie settings.

    The Sandboxie-Plus.iss file used to create the Insider installer is quite old and therefore does not contain the code that preserves the IniPath setting during the update.
