There's no article there...but it looks as if there was.

I noticed that too. In fact, that's why I tried out Vivaldi again today. The article mentioned integration that was already available. But I don't see anything like that. Perhaps they jumped the gun?

I read the article. No further info to be found on the Vivaldi-website.

Uhhhm, we aren't supposed to know about it yet. Shhhh !
The author of the article put it out too early.
However, by the time most of Europe wakes up today it will be not too early (if you get my drift).

I have signed in with my Vivaldi account to try it.
Works fine. You are asked if Proton can have access to your email that Vivaldi has (which is to be expected I guess)

If you already have a Proton account you can log in with that as well.

I must say, this is very cool! Aside from the fact that there's really no point to using a browser-only vpn, it's nice to see Vivaldi evolving. Privacy-wise, this is a good first step. Now eliminate those iceland pings.

Yes, but how is this different from installing the ProtonVPN add-on in other browsers?

While covering the whole traffic with a VPN is certainly a more comprehensive solution, a browser-only VPN makes sense as your browser traffic is particularly affected by security/privacy-sensitive attacks (e.g. fingerprinting using your IP). Besides, the add-on lets you define exceptions for specific sites which would not work with a VPN.

There's really no difference, yet. But who knows in the future. It's still the very early days of their partnership. Is it enough to get me to switch VPNs? No. But this is at least something. Perhaps this will eventually be a Mullvad/Mozilla situation.

USA still the best. But barely.
    But doesn't Mullvad/Mozilla charge for it's service?

They do. But that's to be expected, since Mullvad never had any free servers in the first place.

At first I thought this VPN was built-in, like in Opera, but it's simply based on the Proton VPN extension. I was a bit surprised though that Vivaldi can install this extension automatically in the background, I saw a lot of people complaining about this on the Chrome Web Store. But I guess I can use it to unblock certain websites.

Glad to see you, I thought you had left Vivaldi! But I wonder if it's safe to sign in with your Vivaldi credentials? I mean it's linked to Vivaldi Sync, which still is not protected with 2FA. BTW, can you perhaps check what the status is of these bugs that I reported? Thanks in advance! :thumb:
