A question: What happened with virus defs 30899 and 30900? I was not able to get them for hours and hours and hours. Finally got 30901. It may be my older system. It may be a power outage earlier this week in my area (several days ago). But could you Eset users please check in your logfiles > Events whether you see some kind similar happened? Thank you.
Thanks @axial Maybe more Eset users will post. Time will tell ... It is not the first time I noticed something like this. And now again defs 30904 seems to be out and again I don't get them. Eset folks will go trying to tell you all is fine, load balancing, and more ... All the time I have to think about Animal Farm: "All pigs are equal but some pigs are more equal than others". That is how Eset is handling and seeing their users.
I've got updates 30899 and 30900 but don't have 30901. Nor 30904. My last engine update was yesterday at 22:53, my computer was all the time on. So I checked if I receive Pico updates in folder "c:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Security\pico\1\" and as I see they are current and were added during the night so I'm not worried about not being protected. The problem would be if I didn't get Pico updates for some reason,
Here you go... Looks like I missed 30901, and don't have 30904 yet. Newer desktop Windows 11 24H2. I also glanced at a second desktop, same setup, and it had received 30901. HTH
Thank you all for your replies. Much appreciated! (I wasn't able to respond sooner due to circumstances; sorry).
