Indeed they "hide" some essential information about their software quite good. :thumbd: The subscription period (for "Deep Freeze Standard") is 3 years (obviously you can see this only after you have transferred the product into the shopping cart):

So if I combine all your information correctly, this means:
After buying a license I will get updates for three years. If I do not renew the license after this period, I can continue to use the product (in its old version). (?)

It is actually a very important update as it supports core isolation whereas Shadow Defender won't even start with core isolation on, crashing the machine irreversibly, or giving a blue screen. Personally it doesn't matter in my case, as I've decided not to use any virtualizer on my windows 11 machine, but now Deep Freeze has a definite advantage over Shadow Defender, making the machine absolutely impenetrable with core isolation active.

Looks like the Best Alternative for the many users where Shadow Defender has been shut down by MicroSlop.

So about 2-3 months ago, I reluctantly switched to Faronics Deep Freeze to replace Shadow Defender. I tested it daily during the 30 day free trial. Then I bought it. I have to say, I am really pleased with the performance so far. The only thing I have found that is slightly annoying is that I must reboot to enter a protected state, whereas with SD I could click to enter shadow mode without rebooting. That is the only thing negative. Frankly, I live most of the time in frozen (shadow) mode so it isn't a big problem. All-in-all, I really like it.
