Something rather neat today. A tutorial showing how to maximize productivity and use of available panel space by utilizing selective grouping option for the icons-only task manager in the extremely flexible and customizable Plasma desktop environment. Have fun! https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/plasma-task-manager-icons-only-selective-grouping.html Cheers, Mrk
Thanks for the article. Personally, I don't like the Icons-only Task Manager. I need the text to show which is which. I don't like grouping, either. Therefore, I use the traditional Task Manager, and I disabled grouping. I don't have too many applications and documents open at once, so my settings work just fine. But when you require access to hundreds of documents at any one time, as you said, I understand how the settings that you use are very convenient. As I have grouping disabled, I didn't realize there was the option to disable grouping for selected applications. When I enable grouping, I see that option. Even though I don't need that now, it is good to know such an option is available. Thanks again.
I discovered Icons-Only awhile back. Love it. I have enough room on the Panel so grouping isn't really needed.
