By then, I'm not sure what will be left out of the product for casual/typical users... what else can they add other than a Macrium MIG type of feature for image protection? Let the suggestions roll...

 

I translate HBS and got a license for it. Well when they begin to charge for it.

 

Do they need a translation to AMPHIBIAN??

Something is wrong. After installation in this version i go to create an Incremental created from the last FULL of previous version.
Upon clicking Incremental Backup the program goes away. Closes.

Reverted back to previous version and everything is okay again.

 

Thanks Easter; I didn't get to trying v4.9.4 out, and now will wait for v4.9.5 or v5.

 

I just updated through the internal program option and it installed v4.9.5 .

 

I see that too now under the Details Menu of the HBS Installer. No idea why the new version shuts off like it did but i will try again and keep seeing if there is a normal operation again.

Note: "... the GUI must be run with administrator privileges from V4.9.5 onwards ..."

@EASTER, maybe this is the source of the problem you are experiencing above.

 

Awwwww I bet that is what it is. Thanks @AlphaOne and will chime back in soon again about that.

 

Fully updated Windows 11- even used the useless Windows compatibility wizard (did nada) - Hasleo Backup Suite 4.9.5 when selecting from the Task List Menu Incremental, simply closes and shuts off. I reverted again to previous version BETA and works flawless as always.

So for some reason this version WILL NOT function correctly as before om my machine.

 

"When will V5.0 final be released replacing V4.9.5?"

These Devs are on the move! They have just made an ARM64 version of HBS available for use. See HERE for details.

 

What is the big difference in performance in an ARM:s version (if one has an ARM pc). Speed i suppose.

 

No, native mode compatibility. Just like x86 & x64 are best for their respective architectures (being native), ARM is best for its architecture.

 

I have a question for you who use Hasleo. A few weeks ago, I restored an image that was created well after the DST (daylight savings time) change,after windows already automatically adjusted an hour back.

Oddly, I noticed after the restore, the time was wrong, it restored to an hour earlier. I tried another image created after the dyalight savings time change, and again, my clock was off and I had to both times resync the clock to correct this.

Anyone else notice this oddity. Many might not as at some point when MS runs the time sync it would correct it, but I thought it strange as to why or how this could have happened.

My other imagers had no issues such as this, just found it odd, as to what Hasleo was perhaps missing in the backups.

Hasleo Backup Suite V5.0.1 Released!
This release fixes several backup failures reported by users after the release of V5.0

 

I kind of figured this. Somewhat back upstream in this thread i encountered a Very First somewhat serious Issue where HBS would simply CLOSE and DISAPPEAR on triggering a simple Incremental from the MENU.

I haven't even installed 5.0 yet so thanks @aldist for this quick update revision notice.
