Real world protection test July-October 2024 https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/real-world-protection-test-july-october-2024/
now if Norton and avast are one thing how is it possible that they have different scores ? well done McAfee
Three of the four tests were performed with Norton version 22, which was the "real" Norton, only the fourth test was performed with Norton-Avast.
I wonder this even more with Avast and AVG, which I thought were going to be the same product with a different UI.
when there are differences between e.g. Avast and AVG, it is usually due to race conditions; even few seconds difference can sometimes lead to different result due to cloud analysis. There is also the rare possibility that it is due to different feature set (depending on tested product) or version.
