@aldist - The work is finished...you may find it HERE. The final RENAME should be from "Setup.exe" to Install.exe."
Yes indeed. Since switching over to mostly strict imaging and restore's anymore (I Enjoy It), i very rarely for now even bother with Malware testing (Maybe Later), but Shadow Defender just like Hasleo, (I WILL NOT RELENT away from). They both offer flawless protection. Hasleo for me as well as others, offers a generous variety of useful preferences Shadow Defender is longstanding time tested and reliably simple virtualization on-the-fly!
It still is, Hold your horses just a little while longer and we will likely find a new post on the Hasleo Backup Suite Release 4.9.4 anytime now.
That seems was only a temporary injection of postings/replies regarding the Virtualization Program SD, due to MS upgrade situation regarding it. The topic has resumed it's shape and course.
I have been using Veeam Agent for Windows for the last several years. Has anyone used both? I would be interested in comparisons.
@Turing Doenitz - when using reasonably fast storage devices (NvMEs), both apps exhibit similar imaging speeds. The big difference is that Veeam does not include any sort of "delta restore" features which makes its image restorations fairly long compared to Hasleo. The other major feature missing (for my use anyway) is any image RETENTION control. Both apps contain decent scheduling but Hasleo allows the user to minimize the retention of images over time. This feature allows for decent automatic storage utilization mgmt. The above was a very broad brush examination using Veeam Agent only (FREE version) so many of these shortcomings may be addressed in their licensed versions.
Overall speed of backup and restoration is less of a concern for me. The most important thing is how reliable are the backups. I think I will give it a try.[/QUOTE]
You won't need to take my word for it, but when you do decide to try Hasleo Backup Suite, i am certain that you will find it exceptionally reliable. I have been doing numerous backups AND most importantly Restores, and they have been Picture Perfect as well as reasonably fast! My experience with Hasleo is with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 and 11.
@Turing Doenitz - I have used Hasleo as my PRIMARY imaging solution for many months now, replacing Macrium REFLECT in that capacity. REFLECT has now assumed my secondary imaging role. I use Hasleo to produce a monthly FULL image, a weekly DIFFERENTIAL image and many daily INCREMENTAL images while keeping all FULLs in place for at least 2-mo, all DIFFs and the most recent 7-days of INCs (which include scheduled hourly INCs from 0930 to 2030 daily). This is all done automatically in a set'n'forget environment... I worry about nothing. I also do many MANUAL INCs into the same imaging chain (using them for snapshot return restores primarily) when testing software and accessing potentially dangerous sites. Again these images are automatically managed by Hasleo's scheduling/retention management system. I do many, many image restorations without incident... all producing an operational System representing the image restoration point being restored from my image chain. I just don't worry about my System health any more... I let it worry about itself
Just wondering what I am doing wrong? I have created several usb rescue sticks but none of them work. I thought maybe I missed a step but looking at the manual, it's just tools, emergency disk and then proceed. Don't see any options to miss. The build completes as expected but when doing a test and using the F12, once boot override, choosing USB as for booting, I am just getting an error message "failed". Windows 10 btw - I have tested Image for Windows and Macrium sticks and they worked fine.
What do you who are in contact with Hasleo feel will be the approximate date that version 5 is released? Days, weeks, months from now? I'm planning on switching to Hasleo as my primary imaging tool and am looking for information to help me with the timing. Thanks.
No real info to date... BUT, word has it that they are working on the new Reflect X streaming compression methods (in the Public Domain) in order to improve their imaging times and sizes (which are pretty decent as is). There's always a slight chance that this will be the major feature update included in a possible v5 PAID version... we'll have to see. I would guess month(s)...
Nice if the rumor about the facebook streaming compression methods being included in v5 ends up being true. And I too would happily buy a perpetual license for it (and likely, its updates), even without the streaming compression, from the things I am reading from you and others about this product. No %!**&! subscription though. I'm going to install the current version this evening. Thanks for the information and your good work Froggie.
Hasleo/EasyUEFI has no track record of anything other than perpetual lifetime licenses... and the ones available on some of their other products are very inexpensive. I'm not sure when they'll decide to do this... I think it's all a matter of survival for them, and at the moment, there are no issues of that type.
I just finished installing it, looking over the features, and creating an image on my external Plugable docking station. Looks very nice. Macrium Reflect killer?
Killer... maybe not, bur definitely a very strong offering for the HOME user. Other than Macrium's MIG feature, this app definitely covers almost all the bases.
@Adric - Portable is doable within a WinPE/RE environment, but under LIVE Windows there's still a wrinkle due to a needed service that can't be turned on & off at will. Under a WinPE, the started service dies when the WinPE is shutdown... that's why no issue.
Also, HBS is not yet a Reflect killer because it lacks two important features: 1. The ability to repair boot b. The ability to auto-restart after reimage
Hasleo has just announced a special new compression/decompression build using the Zstandard compression algorithm... supposedly offers a real decompression gain over existing methods. It's a special build used for testing only. If you wish to play, feel free to read their Forum LINK.
