    The free version only detects ransomware by signature;

    Avira has always been a joke, I am "glad" to see that they have not lost their sense of humor. :argh:

    i remember to my answer in #7
    to notice - if ransomware has intruded - anything else before has failed, including user.
    in most cases very realistic, either mail or the native thinking "i can handle this" for different kind of software.
