This is the actual physical chain of backups, According to the physical layout in the backup folder there is 1 full and 4 incremental's then a Differential followed after by another incremental
There's no question there, so I can only assume you're showing us because you want some sort of cookie.
No. I was wondering if @TheRollbackFrog can tell me or spot an inefficiency when & why the INCS are not auto merged I don't want an overload of INCS
Hi I just downloaded the "Anhdv_Boot_Free_24.3" , Haseo is not included. (there is Acronis, Terabite and Macrium). I checked with a friend who got the "Anhdv-Boot 2024 v24.1Premium" Hasleo is also not included.
I just booted the 4.9.0 WinPE version of Hasleo and browsed through the GUI to see all the possibilities. Under Free tools, I noticed the first 2 don't launch - Windows on USB and Data Recovery. Anyone else seeing this?
You mentioned originally that you set your INC retention to 5. If that is correct, your MERGE will occur during the day #6 INC operation (SUCCESSFUL INC, SUCCESSFUL merge then delete earliest INC). Patience, my friend
Hi when I boot from the USB I get the picture attached. Hasleo is not there Opening the ANHDVboot file in windows Explorer (Apps > ppApps> Backup) as per attached picture, I can see the RAR file of Hasleo (x32 and x64)
Just because it doesn't have a desktop icon doesn't mean it's not there. In fact, most apps don't. I use it all the time. It's there, in 24.3.
Step 3 local testing HBS physically by restoring individual Partitions is also proven reliable with that procedure. With ALL Windows 8.1 Systems fully backed up and stored away. Finally can concentrate with Windows 11 exclusively with Hasleo. I will take a cookie now @n8chavez
Quick Question: So you would like to NOT delete one of the TASK(s) per say of your common backup images. With ONE exception, and i understand that it's not normal OR expected to BREAK (for sake of argument) your chain of INCs. Can HASLEO using it's GUI DELETE/REMOVE "NOT IN A CHAIN" of INCs, but can you selectively REMOVE the 1st INC before a chain begins in earnest or must that only be removed MANUALLY?
@TheRollbackFrog i believe answered it without posting it in here, but within Hasleo Backup Forums. Thanks Froggie! I should have checked there first
Has anyone every been able to use Halseo Backup suite to rebuild the bootloader? Every time I click on that option, assuming it was like Reflect's fix boot option, there's no bootloader to fix.
I want to assume that it is safe enough to say that there is no need to recreate a USB Hasleo ED (UFD) with that v. 4.9.2 release.
If you've never experienced any of the issues in the release notes, your current ED (Erectile Dysfunction...) will be just fine. If you install/update any new version, you'll need to go through the ED build once again to get the needed files for LIVE restorations. If you don't, you'll have to do it by request during the LIVE restoration. If you do this, you can create an ISO and just throw it away when you're done.
Sure would like to know what BUGS was fixed. So long as QUALITY is inserted to this line-item, confidence is high.
@EASTER - I followed a discussion on the Hasleo Forum which looked like this may have been part of the #1 issue. It seemed as though it was dealing with a very unconventional System disk build... not anything like a normal build would look like (partitions all over the place, not in any expected order). I can't vouch for this but it just may have been issue #1. Most users would never see this issue. Privately I've been dealing with another issue related to the E(FI)SP partition and they sent me a test build early this morning... looks like it has been dealt with very nicely. Another issue that 99+% of users will never see (only I can break things like that ) You should be just fine...
The only issue I have with HBS is that GUI refuses to remove old images, probably because I do not have PowerShell? I have to remove them manually, leaving traces behind forever and ever.
I can remove backups manually, but GUI shows dozens of backups dating months back, which are no longer there. I have just recently did a clean install, so it is not so obvious, but the issue is as old as Hasleo itself.
