In the latest update of Sandboxie Plus, we have introduced several enhancements and fixes to improve user experience. Notably, file version information for SbieDll.dll and SbieSvc.exe has been added to the Sandboxie Plus About dialog. We have made improvements to the checkboxes related to the DropAdminRights feature in SandMan. This release also addresses several important bug fixes: an issue with symbolic linking of files has been resolved, and corrections have been made to the start agent option and the Delete V2 functionality that was previously introduced in version 1.13.5. These updates ensure better stability and functionality of the Sandboxie Plus software. Download: https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/tag/v1.13.7 Added added file version information for SbieDll.dll and SbieSvc.exe in the Sandboxie Plus About dialog Changed improved checkboxes about DropAdminRights in SandMan #3851 (thanks offhub) Fixed Issue with symbolic linking of files #3852 fixed issue with start agent option #3844 (thanks offhub) fixed issue with Delete V2 introduced in 1.13.5 The build will be pushed in the auto updater some time tomorrow in the final channel and is not pushed in the preview channel. It should be the last build in the 1.13.x line if no more issues appear.
Is this right David, I am now on 1.3.7. It auto downloaded to temp area when I opened the UI (I have preview ticked)
1.13.7 is working well here on Win 10 and I can report that, at long last, the tick box for ''Start UI when a sandboxed process is started'' survives a reboot now https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/sandboxie-plus-1-13-3-1-13-4.453739/page-2#post-3189281
Imdisk Toolkit uses a newer version of Imdisk-driver (v2.1.1). Form the Imdisk Toolkit-website: This all-in-one package includes the ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver (2.1.1), the DiscUtils library that extends the number of supported image file formats, and adds several GUIs and features. Sandboxie Plus uses an older version v2.0.9.64:
Perhaps it would be a good idea to internally update a free external tool from 2022 to its latest version (v2.1.1, as mentioned above) from February of 2024 within the latest Sandboxie version as well.

Having a bit of an issue closing my default sandbox which is running Vivaldi. Not had this problem before with it. Closed browser as normal (set to delete content on close) but it refuses. I have 3 messages to show you. I am closing my system down for the evening now so I am sure that will clear it !! Edge sandbox is working okay.
Did a cold boot and all is working now. Noticed that before I did the cold boot Vivaldi was listed under the Details tab of Windows Task Manager as suspended and couldn't be stopped from there either.
I don't know when the problem started, but I can't print in the Brave browser in Sandboxie (classic 5.68.7+5.69.0, Windows 10 x64). All settings of the print dialog in the browser are greyed out. The blue print button itself is not grayed out, but does nothing. It is only possible to cancel. Outside of Sandboxie it works of course. The problem doesn't exist with the Vivaldi browser, although both are based on Chromium. The problem does not exist on Windows 7 x64 with Sandboxie classic 5.68.7. However, Brave is still on version 1.47.168 there, as there are no more updates. The current Supermium browser for Windows 7 does not have the problem either. *** Edit 1 *** The problem also exists with the Edge browser. Within Sandboxie, everything is grayed out except for the »Cancel« button and printing (save as PDF) is not possible. Outside of Sandboxie there is of course no problem here either. Firefox does not have this problem. Conclusion: Printing/saving as PDF unfortunately only works with Firefox and Vivaldi. It doesn't work with Brave and Edge! *** End of edit 1 *** *** Edit 2 *** I just found this: https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/issues/3926 What is a »Green Box«? I tried adding »Template=OpenCOM« in the config-ini of the Brave browser sandbox, but it still doesn't work, so I undid it. *** End of edit 2 ***
The comment by brianshmrian is the first workaround that can also be used with Sandboxie classic and it works, both with Brave and with the Edge browser (but I don't use the latter)! https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/issues/3926#issuecomment-2168613708 Although the flag via »brave://flags« or »edge://flags« doesn't appear to be present in these two browsers, it works via the respective start link to the browser and its sandbox. Simply insert a space at the end of the target line and then the following string (without quotation marks): "--disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC" Example: "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:the name of its sandbox "C:\\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe" --disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC What ITSWNY wrote before is useless with the Classic version and possibly even a security risk! There are no sandbox types! *** Edit 1 *** Ah, I just realized that »brave://flags« (and other chromium based browsers) only lists experimental flags, which PrintCompositorLPAC doesn't (or no longer) belong to. The problem seems to have existed outside of Sandoxie as well, but has been fixed in all browsers. Therefore, the workaround is only necessary for Sandboxie. By the way: »PrintCompositorLPAC« stands for »Print Compositor Low Privilege AppContainer« *** End of edit 1 ***
Oh, today I had to print something with Vivaldi and had to realize that it is no longer possible with Vivaldi in Sandboxie (5.68.7) either. However, the above workaround also works with it. I have not yet tried the current beta (5.69.2) of Sandboxie and hope that the integrated workaround will then also work with Vivaldi.
I have now tested it with the final Classic version (5.69.3) of Sandboxie and its integrated workaround works with Brave, Vivaldi and Edge. So "--disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC" in the browser shortcuts is no longer needed.
Just reporting in, with my setup, everything's working fine. A few build versions of sandoxie ago, Voodoo Cyberlock started being able to block a lot more stuff with sandboxie running at the same time. I don't know if you changed anything to accomodate Cyberlock Users, but if you did, thanks! Keeping windows secure is like making an air tight seal with swiss cheese, you need layers. Sandboxie is great for containing lots of threats, but then there's data stealers and coin miners that can still do their damage regardless. which is where my other layers come in Okay, I'm done rambling. Keep up the good work Mr Xanatos.
I see that people here are still having issues with the chromium version of edge. I'm using brave with admin rights dropped and faked in all the boxes I use brave in. Edit: Actually...I just checked my settings on those boxes, not faked, just dropped
Currently using 1.13.7, when I check for updates it says I'm out of date and that I need to update to 1.13.6
maybe, 1.14.6 https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/sandboxie-plus-1-14-5-1-14-6.454587/#post-3203465
