Many users are locked out of LastPass after authenticator app reset

And once again LastPass was down for 12 hours. But I assume people could still use their local password database, or not?

I clean installed Win 11 and upon trying to sign into LastPass it would not take my password and would not let me reset it until I reverted back to my old password. I took hours to get to that point. Email. Phone numbers. Reset codes. None worked until I found how to revert to the old password. Why is it so common in IT to leave people stranded! Ugh.

 

Didn't you have access to the local database stored on your PC or other device?

 

Big no no and now headache for that program. No Thank You.

 

I looked where I was told by Google and cannot find anything. If you have some insight, feel free.
