    Hi

can I ask you 2 questions?

    1)
Is there a safe site to download old versions ?
I have found filepuma dot com , i have downloaded CCleaner v5.37.6309 and seems perfect , even techspot seems good
I guess it should be one of the last without ads
i'm using only to empty temp and some garbage

    2)
I know there are some threads about ccleaner alternative
but i'm looking for a safe software just to delete temp files is Bleachbit
just 2 software free , slim and in past ccleaner pretty powerfull
    thanks

When I abandoned CCleaner, I went with System Ninja. There is a free and "Pro" (paid) version. I have been using it for years and I am very happy with it, so happy I subscribed to the Pro version two years ago.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,
    Phil

thats quite funny, because the crapcleaner entries are cumulated and not for real - compare with browsers savings, nothing will fit. best tool for browser is browser itself.
also cleaning windows and browser - your machine need to reload anything again. you start reloading and reloading and reloading, and thus producing trails endlessly - instead reloading from cache and producing no trails.
anyhow ccleaner has no advertisement. maybe its setup routine has. but any ccleaner is producing privacy issues because its nosy and sending data to piriform > avast > norton lifelock > gen digital. seriously?

The link provided by @Mr.X is valid. Click on it and the .exe file is offered for download.

Btw, I use Privacy Eraser as a replacement for CCleaner.

I don't use anything, but about Bleacbit, i had issues with it on windows 7, and i don't bother with software that don't run properly for whatever reason. Especially when there are dozens of alternatives

    Something to consider:
Do you feel it to be safe to use a more than six year old version of CCleaner?
The OS and applications you want to 'clean up' have had many updates and changes since six years ago.
Do you think a six year old 'clean up' application finds the correct items to delete from your current OS and applications?
To me, it would feel scary to use such an old 'clean up' application.

    hi
i just clean temp folders , that's all ,the folders are the same
i guess even an old software should do the same
the new versions of ccleaner (after avast bought it ) is just garbage

bleachbit need same attention as ccleaner and privazer and others cleaners - too much is destructive.
bleachbit itself is not "mine", i dont like it because of its GUI. ccleaner has changed also in time. my experience: smaller UI have problems to show all, some need further clicks for partial views. wise, glary are such candidates. ccleaner has an UI which i like although it changed and could be better, but maximized its ok.
like my view to any things, in special cleaners and ad blockers - use the one which you can handle. dont like nosy apps? then block it with a firewall - windows firewall can do that very effective. ccleaner works although blocked.
a very special tip: browsers used sqlite data bases for anything. cleaners work on such data bases and in most cases those cleaners destroy the database as browser need to work on it. it may work for a period, but then the big bang. user need to watch and recognize, which elements appear on the search result over and over again - then it makes no sense to delete them, in special for windows (see above)

Dark theme asked many times in their forums, supposedly working on it but never implemented. Doh

It was, does all I need, until recently I started using HiBit Uninstaller and just use its own junk files cleaner. But from CCleaner, that's the only version I'd use, everything after that is just bloat.
