Haven't disabled add-ons yet, just an update. I tried resetting uBO, but that didn't help either.

If I start a video then for the next approximately 30 seconds I can't pause or stop the video, can't go full screen and as I mentioned earlier, even closing the tab the audio still plays for around that 30 seconds.

    Very strange!

Maybe some other security app that slows things down in FF? I think we both use OSA and SysHardener, so these apps cannot be responsible for the slow-down.

Blackfog Privacy does not show any events and both that and HitmanPro.Alert has been on the machines without any issue before this all started. No new updates either, except Firefox 124.0.2.

All signs point to CanvasBlocker, which did recently update, although it does not show up at the Mozilla Add-on store and has no release notes.

Yep, when CanvasBlocker is disabled on two Win10 machines this issue goes away.

    no, no, yes
kaspersky sucks again a lot i would say, uninstall or disable (extension) because uBo is superior.
and i would say the webprotection in kaspersky is intercepting also, this is MITM crap.

kasperle, blackfog, HMP. ofc, if you need all this stuff you need to experience some issues like you wrote. its your choice, but for sure its NOT firefox nor ublock.
Software or extension? Firefox dont need such extension, at least it do not work if page wants to hash you.

Yes, I'm aware of your thoughts on certain add-ons and 3rd party security products. They weren't a factor here.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/canvasblocker/

It shows the latest version is 1.9, but the problem started when CanvasBlocker updated to 1.10.

Disabling the latest version of CanvasBlocker solved my problem.

    Thanks.
It was a little frustrating, but I am glad I worked out what it was. Thanks for your suggestions. :thumb:

    Cheers.

    Hello @Brummelchen:

Couldn't the same effect be achieved, in a more selective and gentler fashion, with the matured Ghostery or NoScript browser extensions?

    Just sayin'

Add-ons such as Ghostery and NoScript do not help to pass the noscriptfingerprint.com test; they are useless when it comes to advanced fingerprinting techniques. You need to spoof your browser, fonts etc. to pass this test. Add-ons such as "Chameleon" spoof your profile and help you to pass this test. Whether or not such add-ons are really needed is a matter of personal opinion. It all depends on your personal level of paranoia.;)

Did anyone find out why Firefox 125.0 was pulled and what was changed in 125.0.1, compared to 125.0?
On Kubuntu, I see Firefox snap version 125.0 is offered, not 125.0.1.

.0.1 is macos related, no fix for other OS. nevertheless you can download .0.1 for all os now.

    Thanks very much, Brummelchen.
Where did you find the information that the .0.1 release was macOS related?
Perhaps that is why snap 125.0 was released, not 125.0.1, as a fix for macOS is probably not relevant for Linux snap.

Does anyone know if there is a new way to disable E10.s/Multiprocess. Creating an environment variable with the name MOZ_FORCE_DISABLE_E10S don't seem to be a working solution anymore. I updated today to version 125.0.1 and found the variable not doing anything. In my W10, Firefox is useless if I can not disable Multiprocess. Please help if you know how to solve this problem.

    Bo
