It's a safe file so I wouldn't worry but like i said it doesn't hurt to ask Dan why would it say as it shows in your picture/log?

Open VS settings in basic mode. Near the top of the page is listed Security Posture with an information query mark ( i )
Default for it is Aggressive.

Thanks. I have never noticed that, until now. I am in my other HP laptop, and it shows that I have it as, ''Moderate".

Also, when the WLC Realtime Scan is disabled and the right click menu option says "Take Snapshot" instead of "Snapshot Scan", clicking "Take Snapshot" will also cleanup the whitelist before it takes the snapshot. The hourly cleanup is still enabled as well, and should work properly now.

BTW, just curious, why would anyone disable the WLC Realtime Scan? Its verdict is almost always correct and it doesn't get in the way or slow anything down as far as I know. And when I say it is almost always correct, what I mean is that it's purpose is to let the user know if a file is safe to run or not, without putting much thought or research into it. That is, if the file is Safe, WLC should say Safe. If the verdict is not clear, it should say Not Safe. Thank you guys!

Here is the latest CyberLock! We have a new method that can detect pretty much any file type so that CyberLock can block them, and we added tons of new file types. This used to be handled mainly in the Command Lines feature, but this new method will work much better, and it is super simple to add new file types, all we have to do is add them to the list. You might experience a couple of new blocks, and if so, can you please email them to me?

We also fixed the Attack Chains tab in CyberLock settings so it is much quicker now.

We also made the WLC icon turn yellow when it is scanning (thank you Baldrick for the suggestion!)

I would prefer it if CyberLock/VoodooShield respected my system settings for the date. I am in the UK and today the machine shows it is the 9th day of the 4th month in 2024.

Not 4/9/2024 format as CL shows for all logs etc.

It should be perfectly stable, but please let me know if there are any issues or unwanted blocks.

Software should respect the user's system settings.
It's the only software I use that doesn't do this. There is no point on a machine in setting the date in a format which applies to the country you live in if the software ignores it.

If I may add my experience I'm Italian and even if I set Cyberlock language as English since I installed it, the system date is always been in the correct format Day-Month-Year. Atm I've Cyberlock 7.73 installed.

Here is CyberLock 7.74! There were a few small changes, and one big unexpected change. CyberLock has a loop that runs on its own thread that performs tasks like checking to see if it should toggle or not, hide in fullscreen, etc. Anyway, to make a long story short, we have been adding tasks to that loop for years, and I recently realized that it was overloaded with tasks, and it was starting to cause some issues. So we created a new loop that runs on its own thread, so now CyberLock should be super responsive.

Also, DefenderUI is starting to do pretty well, so we recently registered the domain name Defender.Tools and have started developing apps to further enhance Microsoft Defender.

There should not be any issues, but please let me know if you guys find anything!

Hey Guys,

Here is the latest CyberLock! I figured out why the WhitelistCloud scan was taking forever and making the CPU fan spin louder on some machines, and this issue is completely resolved now. My scan was at around 600 seconds, now it is around 35. I have to continually reset my whitelist for development purposes, so my whitelists are always small, like around 200. FYI, WhitelistCloud typically scans around 4-5 items per second.

Basically, when we added the extra blocked file types, a few of those types happened to be very large files, like 20 gigs or so. This issue started happening on my machine recently, and in my case it was .vhdx files that were 20 gigs. What was happening was that WhitelistCloud calculates the hash of these files during the scan, and well, it takes a very long time to calculate the has of a 20 gig file. Anyway, the fix was to ensure that only files that are actually WhitelistCloud file types are scanned by WhitelistCloud.

There are also several other optimizations and tweaks, and I think we are in great shape for a public release, but if you guys find anything please let me know.

I am also still working on the WDAC Lockdown component. It looks like it will be finished for DefenderUI Pro in the next 4-5 days. Once everyone gets to experience this new feature, we can figure out if we should add it to CyberLock or not.
