I need to merge different bookmark lists in a single one. A google search has given me some suggestions which appear somewhat complex. Can anyone suggest a simple procedure (or extension or software)? Win 10, reference browser is FF thanks
Using Firefox under bookmarks choose manage bookmarks. Import a bookmark from HTML file into firefox. Export bookmarks from Firefox to HTML file and save it to the desktop.
export/import bookmarks.html, and you need to sort yourself or with extension ("Bookmark dupes"). or by sync which merge all but delete nothing, sort and sync again. sync requires a mozilla account - which do not hurt nor send spam. or if same machine - open both firefox and its different profiles - and copy folder content (not folder) to new destination. do not copy places.sqlite/favicons.sqlite - this will mean data loss for sure.
