Well, if I chose to have the gadget out in plain view, this would be more tolerated than the previous shield one. The issue for me is that in Windows 10, I have the taskbar to the right so when it's unlocked, it partially obstructs the gadget and it doesn't look all that great, even though it's a momentary thing. In Windows 11, it wouldn't matter at all, naturally.

But this is a very small minority and again, I'm not keeping the gadget on the desktop. So whatever is decided is OK with me.

You can move it anywhere you want. Like I said I have it at the Top Center!

I haven't used VoodooShield for quite a while now, but does it run without any major problems? So not a lot of false positives and alerts? I personally prefer OSArmor at the moment.

A couple of years, since I last tested it. So I was never a longtime user, and it wasn't my cup of tea. But I see that a lot has been changed, it's now sort of like an AV and of course the name has been changed to CyberLock. Back then I had to choose between EXE Radar, VoodooShield and OSArmor, and I liked the latter the most.

I changed from OSArmor to CL a while ago. OSA broke too many installations during its blocks whereas CL never had an issue there. Very, very few false positives also, just a very unobtrusive but reliable software. It's pretty much my first-responder nowadays. That's why I said elsewhere, I don't care really what antivirus I have (Defender is fine).

Not trying to advertise or anything, but I am posting my own experiences. Oh, still on test 1. Whatever everybody wants gadget-wise.

OK thanks for the feedback. So far I didn't have any major problems with OSArmor, but I'm using an older version. Good to know that CyberLock doesn't give a lot of alerts. I'm guessing it's because it has whitelisted quite a lot. But I still like the VoodooShield name better, CyberLock is so boring. :p

OK, thanks for the notification. v. 7.70 I'm still getting a freeze lasting about 10 seconds if I click on the Attack Chains tab in the Settings and then try to click on another option. If I skip over it, everything is OK. I don't go to Malwaretips anymore so I'm not sure if this was formally addressed. Anyone?

Yes, thanks for confirming. My understanding is that it's still an open issue and an expected one. Good to know as you don't want to feel like you're the culprit. :)

    Hello Sirs,

It's been a while and have just re-installed Cyberlock here. I want to use Cyberlock efficiently and have at least some idea if I am doing it wrong for a "new" user's point of view. May you please advice me Sirs?

Training mode I should use when I install new software, yes?

It is better to use Auto-Pilot first in this new install?

I plan to create a setting in which I have created 'my own' whitelisted applications. How may I revert to making that from Whitelist Cloud?

How may I enter my own list as "whitelisted'..?

On that premise (create my own whitelist), which is better, (a) run the app then wait for Cyberlock to pop-up, or, (b) manually search and place the app in the list?

Incidentally I wanted to do that but the UI froze! It's been 20+ minutes now actually and I am tempted to 'kill the process' via Task Manager...but I know that it has some self-protection.

How may I terminate Cyberlock by the way?

Did I bork my first install? I mean the freezing of the UI and stuff? Is it better to uninstall and re-install again?

I can use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Cyberlock, yes?

Please help this 'old guy' newbie...

My current setup is OSA free + Avast Free AV + Comodo firewall. That previous setup included HitmanPro.Alert but my license has expired last December. I was actually reading on some posts here about VoodooShield and since I have a license, decide to use it and learn it.

May you please guide me gurus?

    Thanks so much to all!

@Dundertaker Where to begin with all of your questions?
    • You may use Training mode but I doubt many members use it
    • Use Smart Mode or Always On
    • Let VS take its snapshot and create its own whitelist
    • For Whitelist Cloud blocks, open Settings > Whitelist Cloud > Right-click on blocked file you believe is safe > Select "Whitelist file"
    • Right-click on VS tray icon and select "Disable/install" when installing software
    • Restart your computer if VS UI freezes
    • Forget Revo: to uninstall VS use proper Windows/VoodooShield uninstaller: Right-click on Start > select "Installed apps" > scroll down to VS > Select "Uninstall"
Your current setup is complete overkill. Avast Free and either VoodooShield or Comodo Firewall only. You may also use Avast in "Hardened mode". This simple setup is bullet-proof protection.

Pro tip: Disable/uncheck "Deny by default - Uncheck to show prompt instead of balloon" in VS settings.

Good grief, @Dundertaker, keep it simple. CyberLock has always worked perfectly for me at the installed defaults. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
