    Hi

seeing there are many settings like disable some services , windows prefetch (the ssd are so fast) ,microsoft antivirus , telemetry and so on

if you have to use install windows 10/11 or update several times for clients or friends , do you use some tools to make your job/task easier and faster ?

about tools i mean like Ultimate Windows Tweaker ,O&O ShutUp10++ or W10Privacy or other utilities /tools

    thanks

    hi
and to disable some services what do you use?
I was used to give a look at Black Viper 's Windows 10 Service Configurations , but sadly there is nothing for windows 11
    thanks

dont disable services, never. black viper got crap over the years. create a backup because for sure you will fail and trash your windows - welcome to the club.

I tried to use dedicated tools, but they either disable too little or too much, so I just copied what I could from them and I do it myself.
    Code:

In current case, I agree with the person who said "dont disable services, never.". The reason is simple - these services are not independent but part of something else.
And to those who are desperately trying to be smarter than engineers who have spent their whole lives learning and testing all sorts of things, to those I want to say - I've never seen eveen one a similar "smart heads" in my entire life. And all these so called Tweakers by you are downright awful.

i used black vipers informations to tweak my xp and windows 7. for win8 first time got worse, similar as for windows 10. so i left services alone (also in win11), but i reduced the amount of tasks in the task plan, that is reversible, but for services, sorry, too many dependencies i dont know.

o&o shutup settings are also trivial, some can be reversed, some not. backup before.

appbuster is rare used, but i removed the latest 11 features as the "dev" thing which is really futile for regular users (its a center for developers and their tools, they claim). but i would bet it will return.

at least its nice to known what can be possible but it costs too much time to try and error and recover. just a recommendation, not more - try, if you dare ^^

    Hi TairikuOkami,
Beautiful scripts , I don't like the system restore option
and when I try to download the zip , kaspersky did bark , i know it's a false allarm
and i'm using , is there in the script Superfetch SysMain service and disable the windows defrag
    thanks
    and @Brummelchen
    Hi
well ,w11 and w10 have still Superfetch SysMain enabled , and this service does slow down every computer with a fast ssd, at least w7 could/can detect a ssd and disable the service , to be faster
I don't want to disable many services
but have you thought about the windows defrag ? It does defrag your hard disk every x days , even a nas
there are many settings to tweak
    thanks

The only tools I have used so far are SysHardener to apply some security and privacy tweaks and O&O AppBuster to remove unwanted apps.

I disable as much services as I can using black viper and other similar informations sites, by trial and error. Windows 11 has a lot of services. Simplicity seems to be a mysterious concept for Microsoft.

    Hi
would be cool have a tool with default presets and the possibility to change some of them
W10Privacy could disable service but it's not the best utility

True. I search informations for some services in the Web and I see what's happen if I disable them.
